Larry Johnson "Highly Unlikely" for this weeks game

It's only Tuesday, and much can change between now and game day, but it appears Larry Johnson may not play this week against Denver.

This could be a big break for us, even if that means a ghost from the Chiefs past plays (Holmes). Then again, Johnson could very easily walk out onto the field Sunday, ready to play.

I think I can say
with complete confidence that this game will not be about the Chefs but rather about what kind of team Denver fields this week.  If we field a team that truly believes they have a shot, than we can put a stop to the KC overachieving right now.  If we come out playing like we did against DET, well...I wouldn't really call that a football team.

I'll post my prep sometime tomorow, but
I think we have a good shot.  Johnson hasn't been great for KC so far, and Priest is a shell of his former great self.  You're right, it's up to our team to make the statement.  The other thing I'm very big on (since I try to focus on what I know best - our defense) is that the KC o-line is HORRIBLE, and their receivers are sub par.

We have a good chance.  Read my looooooonnnnngggggg comment on another diary (I think it is Zap's) about why I don't think this game makes or breaks us (believe it or not).  Specificaly read my analogy about the bear and the campers at the end.

Good head up dpurvis
Even if Johnson plays he hasn't done well this season.  Priest isn't his old self either.  It is going to come down to our bad rushing defense.

Maybe not
2nd update at arrowheadpride seems to indicate the story has been denied by the Chiefs.

NFL NETWORK
Reporting Johnson is done....

Wow,
Foxsport.com just had a story saying it was only a sprain, but he would miss this week (four hours ago)!  Sports media for ya.

I'm going to go with your report from NFL Network.  It's reasonable to assume they have the inside truth (given it IS the NFL's baby).
