Chiefs Fourth Drive -
--More sweet goodness from Hamza, playing Bowe perfectly...
--Nate Webster, playing perfect gap defense, stuffs something called a Gilbert Harris on the running play...
--3rd and 5, there's a flag. The Broncos are off-sides again, and it's Doom. The Broncos need to do something about all of these offsides penalties. Two of them give the Chiefs their first first down of the game.
--Gilbert Harris runs softly on 2nd and 1 and Webster makes the stop again for no-gain..
--3rd and one, the Chiefs run it again and the Broncos stuff it again. This time it is Bailey making the stop...
--4th and less than 1....Chiefs run and pick up the first...
--Easily the best game the Broncos linebackers have played this year. They are not missing their assignment and not over-playing in pursuit...
--IAN GOLD WITH THE SACK. Drilling Croyle, along with Dumervil
--Third and long sees a reception to Tony Gonzalez leaves a 4th and 2...
--Chiefs go for it again...run, and get it...The Broncos had it stuffed but D.J. Williams could not get Kolby Smith down...
--Very close to a fumble, Dwayne Bowe had it but couldn't hang on...
--Drive approaching 7 minutes....and the Chiefs pick up a Delay of Game penalty, bringing up 2nd and 15...
--A 3rd and 6 upcoming, and Croyle gets sacked again, and Dumervil breaks his sack drought. His 9th on the season, and the Chiefs will have to go for it again...
--On 4th and 13 the Broncos sit back and let Brodie Croyle sit back there all day. First Down Chiefs. Bad Play Broncos...
--False Start will back the Chiefs up again...
--The Chiefs are 3/3 on 4th down on this drive..
--Horrible tackling, first by Dre Bly, then by the rest of the Broncos defense, allows Tony Gonzalez to walk into the endzone...Touchdown Chiefs....BRONCOS 14 - Chiefs 7
Broncos Fifth Drive --
The Chiefs hold the ball for nearly 9 minutes and cut the Broncos lead in half. Can the Broncos offense find it's rhythm??
--Broncos will start near the 30, looking to get their mojo back...
--Daniel Graham having a huge day and the Broncos are to mid-field.
--The 9-minute drive has taken the oomph out of the crowd, that's for sure...
--Selvin Young has the Broncos down to the 30, and just like that the Broncos are back in scoring position...
--Young already over 100 yards, now at 113 for the day...
--Tony Scheffler runs alot like a receiver. He lines up out there, catches teh quick pass and runs for another Broncos first down...
--TWO-MINUTE WARNING -- BRONCOS 14 - CHIEFS 7
--THOUCHDOWN BRONCOS!!! Brandon Marshall is wide-open for the score...Then the worst officiating crew in football calls Marshall for a 15-yard penalty for throwing snow in the air. Guys, get a life!!! BRONCOS 21 - Chiefs 7
Chiefs Fifth Drive --
--The penalty helps the Chiefs get out to mid-field...
--Chiefs run the ball and bust inside Broncos territory...
--No-huddle for the Chiefs, and quickly the Chiefs are looking at 3rd and long...
--Just like that the Chiefs go three and out. The Broncos will have 1:18 and all three timeouts to try and extend the lead...
Broncos Sixth Drive --
--Starting at their own 16, the Broncos run it to Selvin Young and he switches fields and get the ball all the way down to mid-field. Selvin young is a playa. Timeout Denver...
--Brandon Marshall on the pitch this time, and he gains 12 yards. Timeout Denver...
--Scheffler with the catch. He stay in bounds, however, and the clock continues to move...
--Marshall this time, then again. The Broncos just do get a timeout, with 1 second to go, and the Broncos have a chance to extend the lead...
--The final play of the first half is a Jason Elam field goal...Solid first half by the Broncos....
END OF FIRST HALF - BRONCOS 24 - Chiefs 7
