Jaguars @ Broncos -- Game Day open Thread -- 3rd Quarter

Teams: Jacksonville Jaguars (1-1) at Denver Broncos (2-0)

Location: Invesco Field @ Mile High -- Denver, CO

Not a good first half by any stretch.  7/10 on third down is simply unacceptable from the Broncos defense who looked unprepared to play.  The Broncos get the ball to start the half and need to get points.  It doesn't get any easier next week so the Broncos need to find a way....

Broncos Fourth Possession --

--It gets worse immediately for the Broncos with a fumble on the kickoff. No need to challenge, it's a fumble....
--It's pretty easy to see it's a fumble.The defense, who has already been on the field for almost 21 minutes will have to come right back and make something happen

Jaguars Fourth Possession --

--The jags get the ball back, and another fumble by the Broncos is making things very tough on the defense...
--The Jags always seem to be moving forward when they go down, gaining an extra yard or two...
--Again, Garrard falls forward and the Jags will add three more...
--If there is any question about what Lynch means to this defense they should be gone now...
Jaguars 20 - BRONCOS 7

Broncos Fifth Drive --

--A three and out, culminated by a 6 yard route on 3rd and 7...Nothing going right for the Broncos today...

Jaguars Fifth Drive --

--Can the defense make a stand, can they make a play???
--Nate Webster completely overplays the swing pass to Lewis, and the whiffs gives the Jags another first down...
--More missed tackles and the Jags have another first down....
--The defense finally does make a play and the Broncos have a bit of life...

Broncos Sixth Drive --

--Big possession for the Broncos starts with another reception to Marshall. Broncos need a TD
--Another catch by Marshall, and the Jags have no answer for 'Baby T.O.'
--Broncos need to think 7, and forget about a field goal...
--Third and two, inside the 5...this needs to be 4 down territory...
--The Broncos try some trickery, and a tackling clinic by Mike Peterson
--Another time out and the Broncos are now out of them...It also means the Broncos cannot challenge another play in the game...
--An awful play-call. That's the best the Broncos could come up with???? HORRIBLE! Two plays to get 2 yards and the Broncos can't do it. It's not the strength of this offense and they turn the ball over...

Jaguars Sixth Drive --

--SO much for bad field position....A penalty and a run give the Jags a first down...
--Even when the jags screw up they get positive yardage..
--We know what the Jags are going to do, but just can't stop it...depressing
--Broncos make a stop and force a punt....

Broncos Seventh Drive --

--Can the offense get on track and keep the Broncos in it? Time to find out...
--A solid throw by Cutler gets the Broncos a first down and ends the 3rd quarter. Time to find out what the Broncos are made of...
