Well...
I floored it after rehearsal and got home with about 11 minutes left in the second game, so I got to watch the best part...I got my picks right! Though I have no idea why. See, my sister (Silverblood) does all the facts and witticisms. I just go by pure gut instinct and whatever's in my head at the time. But what hey, it works.

Should be an interesting Super Bowl...now I just have to figure out what to do with myself for the two weeks in between.

Couldn't sleep so I just skimmed the live blog
Some interesting stuff in there and good to see a larger number of voices participating,  I'm guessing there won't be a live blog of the Super Bowl ;)

Can't say that I am upset with the results.  I disliked both AFC teams and liked both NFC teams. I was leaning SD and NY, but just because I really don't want NE to go 19-0 and because I live in the NYC area.  The Giants game really reminded me of the GB-Denver game and I was terrified that the Packers would break one last big play to end it.  Glad it went the other way.

The most disappointing thing is that it wasn't until halftime that I discovered that Ryan Grant was from my town.  I had known he was a NY area kid, but because he went to Don Bosco prep in Jersey I never realized where exactly he was from.  (Ryan is 5 years younger than Keith Bulluck, but they both played in the same Pee Wee football organization that played their games across the street from my house).  I wish I had known these details when Grant first broke on the scene.  I would have cursed him a bit less last week after the two fumbles against Seattle :)

One last thing and then I have to try to get to bed.  I saw a thing on ESPN that Rivers had surgery last Monday and that LDT has a sprained MCL.  It does move Rivers half a step up in my eyes and it explains why LDT could not play.  But I wonder if the team will get warned or fined for not properly disclosing the extent of the injuries.
