.) For what it is worth, New England looked very beatable and I think the Monday night game will be a good rebound game for Denver.
.) The differenece between winning and losing in the NFL is very small, as seen this past weekend when St. Louis beat a team all the pundits have been saying is one of the best team in the NFL, the Washington Redskins. Basically put, the chances of winning a game when you lose the turnover battle is slim.
.) The Cowboys lost.
.) It's a long season and we are still in first place, everything that I saw on Sunday as far as flaws can be corrected. Though I rarely see a lose as encouraging, the fact that much of the reasons we lost (Tunrovers, throwing into double and triple coverage) can be corrected. If you take away the two penalties against the defense, then I think the defense did fairly well against a talented J-ville team.
.) The run blocking has improved greatly, some of the holes Pittman was running through were large enough to drive a truck through. With Torain, Royal and Schefler coming back in the next few weeks, this team could become a truly scary team for the rest of the season.
.) Special teams didn't blow any coverages and generally played well, Glen Martinez showed he can be a decent punt returner.
.) The Raiders not only lost but were humiliated, so much for the theory of the head coach being the issue.
.) For all the negative plays about B. Marshall, he was the best player on the field yesterday, and everyone knew it, with his continued emergence, it should only help the other players on offense, especially if the defense is going to roll all their coverage to his side.
.) Even without our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th leading recievers, we still managed to move the ball on Jacksonville, a good sign, despite the forced throws to B. Marshall.
