Trade Deadline News! (and more!)
1. Roy Williams to Dallas for three picks to Detroit.
2. Gonzales stays in KC.
3. Colts get DT Mcargo for a pick to BUF.
4. Skins sign RB Alexander to a one year deal.
For more, read this link to ESPN.
So what does this mean? Dallas is in big trouble. Pacman Jones has just been suspended, and Romo is out around four games for a broken finger.
Denver will have around 8 picks going into the offseason. We can stop speculating about trades for this season too.
Also, KC RB Johnson has been charged with his third assault. The NFL may look into that as well.

And is if that isn't enough to discuss...
The four letter network power poll again ranks Denver below SD. We beat them already, AND have a better record. SD beat NE? So what? They’ve also lost more games than us, and we’ve beaten two teams in the NFC South, a division with no losing records so far.
Go figure.

Heck,
TB is ahead of us too. I seem to recall that we beat them too.

What a load!
Like I said before, those are SHOWER YANKINGS, from jerk offs.

To add insult...
Peter King on SI didn’t even have the Broncs in the top half of the league. He’s got us below the bolts, bucs, and saints, who we already beat!
Frack, frackin' fracker!
I hate polls
Polls are such a waste of time and gets everyone all hot and bothered. Remember Osi and Mario Williams little spat?
It’s just like the elections with Hillary crying about whose up and whose down. If it were up to pollers, we wouldn’t even have a football season, they would just grade teams on who had the ‘best’ offseason and declare a winner in August.

WOW.
Williams and T.O. and Witten. Oh boy. If Romo can’t win with that plus Barber, Jones, Crayton, and that stud muffin o line, that says something.
I wish Cutler didn't have tunnel vision.
Except that Romo will be gone for a few weeks.
I wonder if the back up can hold the fort. I know they value the Alamo and all, but it was a lost battle.

Brad Johnson
has done okay in his relief appearances in the past.
Not that I think it will help them now. He doesn’t have the strong arm to satisfy to fliers down the field (TO and Williams) so it will be a dink and dunk offense until Romo gets back.
Countdown to TO breakdown!

I want to see what TO says when
he has a bad game, Williams has a good game, and the Cowboys lose. That will be interesting.

Rankings complaint
HT, that same nonsensical website ranked Tampa Bay ahead of us too! Two teams we have already beaten. They are trying to save face. They would all look like fools if their precious Pats and Chargers sucked!
My best friend is an Eagles fan and that Roy Williams trade to Dallas has him steaming mad. Irony is so ironic!
I noticed that.

Dallas will look back on this trade with regret
Nothing brings me joy like watching the Cowgirls implode, but from a football standpoint I just don’t see the value you gain by adding Roy Williams. Yes, Williams is an upgrade over Crayton and a young Miles Austin (right now), but give me a break. They have—supposedly—one of the best wideouts in the game (TO), best catching TE in the game (Witten) and top 5 RB in the game (Barber). All they’ve done is increase the volatility in their locker room. Just watch TO explode… Oh well, not my problem, go ahead and trade away your picks. Who needs draft picks… AND, doesn’t Roy Williams always get hurt. Can’t wait for him to go down next week.
KC and Gonzalez…. Way to lose leverage by waiting till the season started. If KC wanted to move Gonzo, they should’ve done it during the offseason. If I’m the Saints, I rather have traded for Gonzo than for Big Baby Shockey! Moreover, they get offers for Gonzo but then Peterson gets cold feet and walks away. Odd situation…
I don’t know enough about DT Mcargo to make an comment aside from at least Indy is trying to address their weak front 4.
Redskins? If they wanted somebody that soft, they might as well have picked up a soft cone from the local Dairy
Queen.
The one player that isn’t news, but crossed my mind when I heard he was cut today by the Eagles, was Tony Hunt (RB, PSU). I wondered if the Broncos might take a chance on him while our backs get healthy. Any thoughts???
I wish Woody Paige was our coach!
I think the trade
was made with the thinking they can keep Williams, by resigning him, and cut TO and his bitching at the end of the season. (TO only has 1 year left on his contract)

I tend to agree...although...
that’s a recipe for TO to be, well, TO (see Niners/Eagles history). If they don’t start winning again, watch TO go nuclear! It makes me appreciate our wrs more.
I wish Woody Paige was our coach!
I am so hoping he does
makes me so glad she did not end up here in Denver

Giving away 3 draft picks....all in 2009
is what surprised me. For their sake they better have some in the other rounds.
I have also heard that Williams sometimes doesn’t try hard enough. I heard this on ESPN so not sure how solid it is.

Hunt
I say no to Tony Hunt. Not very fast. Torain is much better from the sounds of it, as is Pittman. As a PSU fan, who are we going to sign next, Anthony Morelli? I don’t want the people that symbolized underachievement on my favorite college team on the Broncos.
I assume that once Goodell is done with Pacman
he’ll start concentrating on LJ.
How he hasn’t been disciplined for the previous two assaults (I know one was similar to this latest one – pushing a woman to the ground with an open hand to the face) is beyond me. As I remember it, two of the three were in public places (which would put a bad light on the NFL – if that is what Goodell is trying to punish). I read that charges were dropped on one of the earlier cases but that didn’t seem to have any affect on BMarsh’s case.
I would expect to see LJ suspended for at least 3 games but it could be for 4.

Too Bad LJ wasn't suspended for the first Bronco/KC game

What man actually needs is not a tensionless state but rather the striving and struggling for some goal worthy of him. What he needs is not the discharge of tension at any cost, but the call of a potential meaning waiting to be fulfilled by him.
Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms – to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.
It wouldn't have mattered...
we would’ve allowed their backup RB to run all over us… Our defense is viagra for limp offenses!
I wish Woody Paige was our coach!
