Well, I had a much better week last week. I went 3-1 and I am not going to count the Seahawks game as I had posted that article thinking Hasslebeck was going to be playing. I had changed my pick to Green Bay in my money league on Saturday so that game was fubar for me. At least I am back over .500 for the year and let's see if I can keep it up.
Last Week: 3-1
Overall Record: 8-7
High Risk Upset Picks:
St. Louis over Dallas
I only have three upset picks this week, and this one happens to be a shocker. I thought about changing this pick if Romo plays, but I think my shot at winning this game might improve if Romo plays. In any case, I might regret this one, but with 90% of the action on the Cowboys this game might just be a difference maker for me this week. I got the Rams by 2.
Other possible high risk upset picks I did not pursue:
Cleveland over Washington
Medium Risk Upset Picks:
Baltimore over Miami
The Ravens screwed me last week, but with so much action going towards the Dolphins I just can't help but smell an easy upset pick. The Raven D is not going to fall for no wildcat formation and the Dolphins may regress. It is also worthwhile to note that the Ravens are pissed off about losing three straight and the total man handling they suffered by the Colts. I am looking for the Ravens to win big here.
Other possible medium risk upset picks I did not pursue:
Buffalo over San Diego
Minnesota over Chicago
Low Risk Upset Picks:
New Orleans over Carolina
I almost went with Carolina here, but it's just too hard to pick against an offense like the Saints. Not only that, the Saints run defense has been tremendously stout over the past two weeks against offenses with a solid run game. Meanwhile, the Panthers have struggled in recent weeks which includes the big fat rotten egg they laid in Tampa last week. For those reasons, I think Carolina is going to get stunned at home in this one, Saints by 7.
I am not incredibley confident about this week, but if the Rams pull out this miracle I will be sitting pretty. If the realistic happens and the Cowboys destroy the Rams...I'm screwed. lol Luckily, I will be in Lake Tahoe this weekend living it up and I probably won't give a damn either way!
