I get to watch a game!
Car sales is a very 'not fun' place to be right now--long hours, no traffic, really bad. The long hours (and the fact this is Seahawk country) prevent me some seeing most games. The San Diego game was on air--but bad luck had me in a car deal to where I couldn't make it back to the lounge. When I got home I signed into the 'thread' ...said something like this, "I just got home--did I miss anything?"
The one response I think came from Pappi and it was something like this, "LOL, Mike...I don't have the energy to explain it."
I'm sure that their are many of you that can't see the Broncos because they are not televised or you are working when they are. That is my state.
Despite the fumbles and INT's that killed us for two games--I am feeling really good about this team. Don't know why but I'm starting to think that Dr. Z is a jerk...with a bad doggy-poopoo scent that klings to him because of his hate of the Broncos.
Anyway, I'm very excited, This will be the first game this year that I have the day off and the Broncos are put on display. Monday night! I am ready for some 'Foot Ball" !!

I finally broke down and got satelite tv so I could watch the occasional Monday Game.
I kick myself for not having done it for the faider game.
The best defense is a good offense!
I hope.
I'm glad
and hopefully it will be totally worth it. We need to keep the domination over the Pats to continue.
I hear ya on not being able to see games due to working, however I usually try to get some days off so I can watch the game. I live in Chargerville so they aren’t televised a lot so when they are I usually DVR the game and go over parts of the game when I get home (even though I know that we won).

This DVR thing is kinda cool--I just need to figure out how to use it

I hear you man
I am here in Portland and I have to suffer through Seahawk games, even though no one actually likes them here, there are probably more Broncos and Raiders fans here than actual Seahawk fans. And then they put the Raider game on last week instead of the Broncos game, why I have no idea.

Boy, you really have my sympathy Broncoman!
Many years ago we could get nothing but Seahawk games up here and I got so damned tired of them i hate the Seahawks to this day.
That’s ok with me. We’re playing for wins, not media publicity....HT 9/11/08
I used to like the Seahawks when they had never beet us--
Yet somehow beet the faiders once a year.
The best defense is a good offense!
I hope.
Gotta give that to the Seahawks
In the early years, they weren’t very good, but they had the Raiders’ number, so I got to like them some, even though I spent 77,78, and 79 in Washington and had to endure Seahawks games all the time, and Seahawks fans (they were like this: “4-9 our first year, 9-5 the next, so next year we’ll be 12-2 and win the Super Bowl”). Hard to take, but they did whup up on the Raiders.
We don't even know where we are. They say that we're circling a star. Waylon Jennings.
I hope they win this one for you Mike!
Nothing like finaly getting to see your team!

Just don’t post a pic of yourself in a speedo. Congrats on getting to see the game this week!

Yes!!! It is time to bring out Koolaide man again!!
I’ll make the change when I get home!!
The best defense is a good offense!

Are you going to make it to the Rendezvous next summer?
That’s ok with me. We’re playing for wins, not media publicity....HT 9/11/08
If its early summer 0r better yet spring.
Its hard to take time off late summer in this buisness. I would really like to do the Spring Training thing rather the pre-season.
The best defense is a good offense!
I hope.
I have a daughter that just got transfered to Denver--so I'll even have a place to stay.

Well, it is still 9 or 10 months away.
I would like to put a face with the name of some of the more mature fans.

firstfan--I would like to do the 'free thing' at the Dove Valley training place--whereever that is.
The best defense is a good offense!
I hope.
I fell ya
But its even worse here, I get stuck with the whiners on a weekly basis. Nothing is worse that a bunch of cry baby media members complaining about the broncos all day and night. (STILL)

I am happy for (and very jealous) of you
I strenuously object to this whole “game starting at 1:30 am” thing. Really, I do. So clearly the NFL should reschedule MNF just so I can watch. [stamps foot]
Also, I hope my Kool-aid man back as your avatar brings us some much-needed mojo.

Silver---I have told everyone that you created 'Orange/Blue Koolaide Man' and once again I thankyou.
Actually you gave it to both Zappa and I—I simply claimed it.
By the way—-how are things in England!!!!

England is absolutely awesome
If it weren’t for the fact that I’d miss American sports too badly, I’d never come back. ;)

Mike,
You’ve got to move to CO. Car dealerships are closed on Sunday by state law (so are liquor stores…we have some really weird laws). I’m pretty sure it’s so everyone can watch the Broncos on Sunday.
GO BRONCOS!!!

the liqour stores are still closed on Sundays
Man, can stores like king Soopers sell beer and liquor on Sundays? I thought I read where that was being repealed

Liqour stores..
…are now open on Sunday. The “blue” law was repealed a couple months ago.
We admire in the sea’s rages the total lack of reason and justice, the blindness to all but the laws of it’s own nature;
And quite naturally, since similar feelings and desires lurk deep inside our own minds. A wrecking sea is part of what we all dream ourselves to be every night.
John Fowles
Finally!
I never understood the concept that it was okay to go to a bar to watch the game and drive home drunk but you weren’t allowed to go buy liquor and bring it home to watch the game.
When I lived in the Springs the microbreweries were able to sell growlers (gallon jugs) of their beer on Sundays (because they were technically a bar) but once the blue law supporters figured out that people were just taking them home, they deemed the selling of growlers as a package liquor sale and outlawed the sale of them on Sundays (instead of just repealing the stupid law in the first place).

Can you still go car shopping without getting molested on Sundays?
No offense Mike, but that was the only time I felt comfortable shopping for a car because the vultures weren’t circling around and I could take my time and look at my own pace.

Only 3.2 beer at the grocery stores
at least before they repealed the blue law. I’m not sure if it’s the same now…
