In regards to the "Bailey might get thrown at" diary

all I can say is, I’m gonna be pissed if Shanny yet again refuses to move his top CB to cover their top WR (in this case, Moss). If Moss is matched up against a Bly or a Paymah, it’s gonna be a long morning.

Resident across-the-pond Broncomaniac in disdain of your silly late start times.

by Silverblood on Oct 19, 2008 5:43 PM MDT up reply actions

I agree...

…but Bly has actually faired very well against Moss so it might not be too bad.

GO BRONCOS!!!

by UnarmingMermaid on Oct 19, 2008 5:45 PM MDT up reply actions

Well...

Bly used to be considered one of the top corners in the league, but this year, hasn’t exactly looked like it. Fortunately Cassel struggles with the deep ball so maybe even Bly can get a hand on it if Cassel airs it out to Moss.

Evil Bill is too smart to make Cassel play Brady, so that probably won’t happen.

I gotta idea!

Let’s cover Moss with…. Moss! Hey, Jarvis might turn out to be a linebacker, so let’s play a cover-three, stick him in there instead of the SS, and when R. Moss runs by J. Moss… stars and birdies!

It’s brilliant, I tell you, BRILLIANT! Evil Bill will never see it coming.

by Silverblood on Oct 19, 2008 5:53 PM MDT up reply actions

I think

that if Denver gets pressure on Cassel Moss will be ineffective. I saw the game last week with SD and NE. Cassel was underthrowing Moss badly. Cassel was 1/8 on his passes over 10 yards. But dont worry when Denver gets a big lead, Moss will quit like always

by broncfanstuckinsd on Oct 19, 2008 5:45 PM MDT up reply actions

Sadly...

When Denver gets a big lead, the Denver D will feel obliged to let the Patriots back in it, so Moss will have to start trying again.

You are playing G Martinez??

I gotta say, I like the kid, but if he’s on your fantasy team, you have problems. Prater is good for 10 points easy…the D could have a good game and give you 20 (cross your fingers and tap your toes), but to expect Martinez to pick up your other 8 is just asking for dissapointment.

53guys should win his game though…Pittman will get 14 easy and Marshall / Royal will pick up the slack. :)
