Yep, very ready for football....

… unfortunately I’ll be lucky to make it to kickoff, much less any further. I stayed up until 5am this morning to watch the Rays win the pennant (and kick in the teeth another certain Massachusetts-based team that I happen to hate) and I’ve got a busy day tomorrow, so I may just leave this in y’all’s capable hands. Beating the Patriots would be doubly sweet: 1) the Broncos would win, duh, and 2) It would inflict even more pain on those poor ol’ Boston fans.

What time is it there Silver?

The best defense is a good offense!
I hope.

Right now

it’s 12:22 am. Game starts at 1:30. Yeah, I dunno if this is going to happen.

YES I AM!!! =)

I’m in a real good mood tonight – the Broncos just can’t do hurt me now!

by DjBroncos on Oct 20, 2008 5:07 PM MDT reply actions

I am definitely ready for some football!

Have been ever since last week. Come on Shanny, let’s keep your record against Bellicek up! Also, I want to see Royal have some more success tonight.

Predictions before the season began: 11-5 and a top five offense (I was probably too conservative).

by diehardbroncofan on Oct 20, 2008 5:12 PM MDT reply actions

Part of me wants our defense to step up tonight...

….but if the Broncos win and the total score is 48 I win $95 dollars so maybe they don’t have to stop EVERYTHING… haha

Or the Broncos could win 48-0

That would work, right?

Predictions before the season began: 11-5 and a top five offense (I was probably too conservative).

That'd be nice.

But I’m seeing something closer to 31-24

I'd like to see a repeat of Monday night against the fiaders.

No Int’s, no fumbles, and five TD’s !!

my guess

is they’d rather have pass rushers to cream Cassel then worry so much about the depth-limited RB corps of new england

I'm not sure if I can handle ANOTHER nail biter

Eventually my heart won’t be able to take it. I would like this game to reflect our first Monday night game of the year.

At least Royal is playing

And we get to see if Moss/ Crowder can improve. It’s also great that Ekuban will be active again.

We'll definately miss Scheffler the most

But that means we could just use Graham to run more. I’d like to see Pittman get 25+ carries for a change

I have no problem with Cutler's comment

There’s nothing wrong with having confidence. Elway himself was always pretty cocky and it seemed to work out for him.

Looks like an interesting read.

There should be a guy version of the game with play by play and break down – commercials should be cheerleaders

Then there should be a chick version of the game with Kornholer, PTI, and other fan fare.

The thread champ has arrived!

Just got back from my JV football game, won 26-12, made the most amazing play in the history of football (I’ll tell the story if anyone cares) and I will not be back until later because I am extremely hungry. And sweaty, and my dad doesn’t want me to sit in the chair. Plus, I have to help my cousin beat Pokemon Diamond!!! Really.

I won’t dominate the thread today; I’ll just be here during timeouts and for big plays. I want to get an even 2000 comments by the end of the day; I’m at 1791 right now. Go Broncos!

Don't remember if this was posted during the week

From a Bill Belichek press conference

Does their offense look similar now to when they had John Elway was there?

BB: The thing about Denver’s offense is that it kind of looks different every week. It is so game planned. We have played them in games where it has been all slot. Then there have been other games where there is no slot. Then you see games where there is a lot of empty. Then there are games where there is no empty. There are games where there are a lot of boots. Then there are other games where they don’t boot that much or they run all the boots one way one week and the other week they mix them up and the other week they run them the other way. It is very much specific to the team that they are playing. What are you going to see? Some weeks you see a bunch of screens and the next week you don’t see any screens. Over the course of a few games I think we have seen everything that we would normally see from Denver. But the amount of it, the number of snaps that they run of one particular thing is very specific to the team they are playing [and] how they want to attack it.
