Garcia is much better than Griese. He lost his starting job because he was rusty due to being out with injury. Griese wouldn’t have been ab le to drive them down the field for that TD.

I don't know if I can listen to you play the "I told you so" card...

after an okay defensive performance against a poor offense.

No turnovers against a turnover prone offense…and against an offense that was afraid to throw deep.

Again, I’m happy with the D performance today! But I don’t think it proved anything.

we knocked their

“turnover prone” QB out of the game, and even when he was in, he was limited to throwing underneath in the “non-turnover” are aof the field, probably on threat of death…

It proved that they can come to play, not that they are dominant or anything. Everyone’s fear was that the offense would need to score 30+ from here on out. This shlould kill that….

I'm happy with the performance;

but your “all haters of the Broncos defense can Eat IT!” statement had me concerned.

Because I think the Broncos did exactly what the “haters” have been asking for, which was to bring pressure and blitzes, and it worked. So I just didn’t want to hear, “see? you guys were wrong…this defense is great”. When the defense did exactly what everyone has been screaming for with a degree of success.

I don't think...

the defense is great….But I feel I brought to light several good reasons for the defensive issues, and people are still bashing them….The strength of this team is the offense….If the offense doesn’t get it done week in and week out, we lose.

What the defense has proven is when they aren’t put in bad situation after bad situation they can get the job done…

Good Physical Game

Defense stepped up, special teams was MUCH better, and most of all the offense controlled the ball when they had to and Cutler was patient with his throws. This team really took a step forward today.

The fun thing about this game .........Our defense seemed to get old....an old that seemed to get preasure...an old that seemed to be what a defense should should be. This week we seemed to have that kinf of defense.

Besides beating San Diego

This is my favorite victory of the year so far. The defense finally proved it can step up, we hit Griese all day long, and we proved we can win a game by being physical. In addition to that our special teams finally showed up with a great showing by Prater and gave us great field position all day long. Best team performance of the year thus far, and there is a light at the end of the defense’s tunnel.

Predictions before the season began: 11-5 and a top five offense (I was probably too conservative).

Awesome win against a good defensive team

Finally some freakin pressure. I mean we equalled our sack total for the first four games today. The defense is improving. Cutler took what the Bucs gave him.

And to make things better the Chargers lost so we get that game back in the standings we lost last week.
