denvers kickers getting some pub over at the NFL network
hello everyone
I just finished up watching this weeks installment of playbook AFC on the
NFL network . The subject on the broncos tonight was the denver broncos
kicking game featureing K matt prater and P brett kern . I almost fell out of
my chair when two people who forever seemed to hate the broncos sterling
sharpe and brian baldinger were in agreement on the broncos winning the
game this week against the jags . They both raved about the special teams
edge going to the broncos because of praters long FGS and deep kickoffs
along with brett kern pinning the oppisition back deep into its own territory
and the strategy that goes into playing the field position game. To get these
guys to say something nice about the broncos is like pulling the sword from
the stone . mabey this kind of good vibes comming from former nay sayers
could keep this train rolling at full speed . Any thoughts ?
GO BRONCOS 5-1

I don't get NFL Network,
so I don’t see these guys much (F**K YOU, BRIGHT HOUSE!) Any good attention is nice, but it brings on band-wagoners, which NO ONE (outside of Dallas) likes. I’ve finally come around to these guys, as one of few resident wait-and-see-before-believing people around here. To be completely honest… I’m still not sold on our defense at all, and it took three weeks for me to accept our offense as top-tier.

I am not totally sold on the D either flabroncofan
but to get the lead and pin your opponet deep all the time even with the broncos defense giving up
yards on long drives starts burning time on the clock cutting down on the opponents time to get many
more offensive posessions . that I think we can do ! thats what we need to do!

You can watch the videos online
As some can attest, I’m a huge fan of their playbook bits. Looks like Champ has one this week.

Special Teams?
Am I wrong or is that the only time in the last 2 or 3 seasons that our special teams has gotten any kudos? Hope they keep it up. ST has been an achilles heel for us.

I watch NFL network everyday and............
Sharpe is smarter than Baldinger. BB usually chimes in with public opinion. Sharpe is better at his analysys. I will admit that they sound more negative about Denver than the positives, but the negatives are usually correct when exposing Denvers shortcomings. They focus more on why teams shouldnt win, vs why they should win.

I think Baldinger is a very weak analyst
He never says anything that isn’t obvious to everybody. I can’t imagine how he is employed as a person who talks about football.

He's employed because he is a former player and can actually pronounce multiple-syllable words
I agree he is weak though

These guys noticed the special teams...
…because they read this week’s “MHR Chalk Talk” and realized the importance of special teams in this game. Too bad they didn’t sound as sharp as the author and the many sharp folks who wrote comments.
