The flex schedule game-time change for this Sunday (Nov. 23) is Carolina at Atlanta on FOX at 4:15 PM ET.
The NFL will utilize “flexible scheduling” on Sundays in Weeks 11-17. Flexible scheduling will ensure quality matchups in all NFL Sunday time slots in those weeks and give teams a chance to play their way onto primetime and into the late-afternoon 4:15 PM ET time slot on CBS and FOX.
For each of the flexible scheduling weeks with the exception of Week 17, the NFL will announce the start times of games on Sundays no later than 12 days prior to that weekend. To ensure a Sunday night game and doubleheader games with playoff implications in Week 17, the flexible scheduling decision for that Sunday may be made on six days notice.

This is good... I prefer the later schedule.
but after this week…I wonder if the earlier schedule isn’t better for us. lol

That's very good news
I wanted say that I strongly agree with your comment last week about the effect of changing time zones, SG. The time shift effect is a problem whenever a team moves ‘backward’ on the clock, or from a western time zone to an eastern one. This isn’t just anecdotal, there’s been research on this issue.

clarification on "backwards"
What i meant by backwards is losing time rather than gaining it. Our biological clocks don’t deal well with days that have been suddenly shortened.

strike "backward" I should have said forward

here's a little neurobiology on biological clocks in case anyone's still interested
I’ll try to reintroduce this at a later point, if it comes up again.
It’s an interesting subject. Companies that employ shift workers have discovered that there is a much higher injury rate when workers are asked to move ‘backwards’ on the clock, i.e, from night to day, etc. It’s far better to move forward, i.e., day to night, lengthening one’s day. In other words, it’s easier to stay up longer than get up earlier in the morning.
The body’s clock is reset through various environmental stimuli called zeitgebers (time giver) that allow one to synchronize with a changing schedule, such as in seasonal changes in the length of the day, etc. Jet lag is an effect of changes that effect the biological clock. There’s much more on this subject, but I’ll save it for later.

West Coast Football Awesomeness
I loved rolling out of bed and watching the broncos first thing in the morning! What’s up with us not having a Sunday Night game this year? I thought they’d flex us, but looking at the schedule, it’s not looking like it… Maybe the Buffalo game… Maybe the San Diego Game. Other than that, we look to be on in the morning or we’re playing Oakland, KC…
Who cares… We don’t play well on national TV anyway.

Awesome.
This can only help the Broncos with the already-mentioned time zone difference. The Jets are good enough that any help is appreciated.

When I got a txt message about this I read it quickly
and thought it was now on Sunday night. Whether it is 1:00 PM EST or 4:15 PM EST, doesn’t matter because we just proved that west coast to east coast thing isn’t full-proof. A few extra hours to get any last things ironed out doesn’t hurt.

Not if you live in San Diego.
TV networks usually don’t air games at the same time as the Chargers. The Chargers play at 1:05. I know the games are on different networks so maybe I’ll get lucky.

yep
I got messed up. I also get a SD channel (in alaska, go figure. We like to point and laugh when the weather comes on.) I was thinking Chargers played at night, but that is THIS week.
Oh well…
Good luck to everyone trying to catch the game!

later start time...
…is great. Don’t like watching Bronco games at 11 MST.
While I wish the Broncos had a Sunday night game, I would happily take the most likely game to move to Sunday night, the San Diego game, to be irrelevant by then.

For those of us in the Pacific Time Zone
the games start at 10am.
By the time I get through the game, I’m usually too buzzed from Bloody Marys (I have a personal rule to not drink beer before 10:30, even during a Bronco game) to get anything accomplished for the rest of the day!

Doesn't matter either way for me
I’ll be driving home from Tucson that day so I would miss it no matter what.
It sucks that Sirius is now charging $4/month for XM listeners to get the NFL and NASCAR channels (which were free on Sirius, I believe). Now I’m going to miss the faders game on Sunday and the bretts game next Sunday.

West Coast loses out...again
Yep, us in the Los Angeles area will (most likely) get the great match-up between the Faiders and Chiefs. If we had the eirlier time I may have been able to see it…there always bars I guess…I just took the wrong time to quit drinking…
