Jay Cutler- 32 Games in
So next week will be a key game for Jay Cutler who looks to do two things:
pass the 3000 yrd mark with 5 games to go in teh season
pass the 7500 yrd mark for 32 games (two reg seasons)
can someone tell me where that stacks up to the other?
Avg of 3500 through his first two "seasons" as an NFL QB? That has to be out-friggin-standing! Just a note for the week guys!

Good point, playing against the raiders might give JC a chance to get lots of yards
The raiders have a good D, but their blah Offense will give the Broncos good field position. Plus, the Denver Offense should not have to play catch up ball very oftern.
The future looks so bright that we're going to need blue and orange sunglasses!

Raiders
gave up 222 yards on the ground to the Dolphins last week (Ted Ginn had a 40 yard TD run). Maybe Cutler won’t pass a lot this sunday.

That's what I was thinking
If we get good field position out of special teams (Go Eddie!) and the faders D is that porous, it might give our rushing O a chance to regain that swagger that they are known throughout the league for.
JC just might have to be content with handing the ball off more than throwing this week!

And airing it out vs the raiders
has hurt some teams recently. We really need to focus on protecting the ball. The way the faders can win is by forcing turnovers and mistakes. One thing I have noticed is that Cutler does not protect the ball when his teammates are playing poorly or with a lot of mistakes around him. In fact, when the game isn’t going smoothly, in terms of rhythm, he tends to get panicky. Sometimes he settles down, but more often than not he oscillates at a resonant frequency until he breaks, and throws the INT.
This is different from a high pressure situation, such as we have seen at the ends of games lately. The team was playing well, but so was the opponent in those situations.

stat from the atlanta game
said we led the league in dropped passes. granted, some of those were in tight spaces/coverage, but that also could be too many pass attempts/late comebacks skewing the stats. again, there is nothing wrong with the checkdown guy(usually open), but do we win the falcons game without that bomb into double-coverage to marshall? maybe, but i expect jay to take some shots, even if he is just throwing them up, for better or worse. this is a fine line here, and the last few games he has seemed to strike a good balance. it appears corners are having a hard time corraling his passes, too, thankfully
