Does that mean we will face Walter and not Russell?

I'm betting that
they play that one as close to the vest as possible.
The Broncos will prepare for both and expect Russell, because in the final analysis, Davis wants to see Russell play, not walters.

What is the difference between DNP and out

It must have soemthing to do with
severity. The guys who are listed as OUT are also the ones who have no expectation of going right now. The DNP seems to be a player who probably isn’t doing the rehab that that the OUTs are doing, but isn’t on the practice field either…
I too am curious about what the ‘official’ difference is, if anyone knows…

Answer
Out – Will not play. Too disabled to be fielded.
DNP – Did Not Practice (somewhere between “out” and "questionable"). While the player didn’t practice, he may have received some theraputic training/treatment from the staff. He did not take part in game related, physical activities.

Then how come Javon Walker is listed as DNP?
I thought we was out for the year.

If he is on IR...
…then he has gone beyond “out”, which is a game by game rating. IR is a point of no return for the season.
If he is likely “out” for this game, as well as the rest of the season, Oakland may list him as “out” or even “DNP” if there is even a tiny chance they would want him back. There may be some contractual issues involved, and Oakland is likely listing Walker in a manner that best protects their financial interests.

Good point, I know there was some contractual thing about injury settlement

Last year they decided to change the O/D/Q/P
into “Out/DNP/LP/FP” for Wed, Thurs, Friday. These stand for limited and full participation, as well as what HT already explained. Then, the team must also release O/D/Q/P on Friday. They haven’t “officially” ruled out Walker but it is a pretty transparent move. If they are on IR/Suspended or are not injured, they don’t need to be listed at all.

Isn't Walker out for the year?
Well, I see Champ did practice a little bit, however we will find out Friday. Although I don’t want the Broncos rushing him back quickly. I am sure we will be fine Sunday without him. Let him be 100% for the Jets.
Russell did play against Miami despite having tendinitis (think that’s what it is) in his knee. As far as Walter, don’t really know anything about him. Hopefully we can create some havoc on either one like we did in week 1.

I advocate holding Bailey out this week.
Oakland has the worst pass offense in the League after ten games. No need to rush Bailey back.

I agree.
Get him back for Brett Favre. Favre has shown a tendency to force it this year, and I would love to see what happens if he tries to force it to Champ Bailey.

Is it just me, or does it look like our guys are recovering, sucking it up, or what ever, better than the fader guys?
It must help to be playing for the BRONCOS, vs. the faders. I think that if i was a fader player, with a little bit of hurt going on, I wouldn’t want to “suck it up” to play for that team either!

I think we will see more of Tatum than any of us expected when we started this season
The nice thing is—he seemed to be really hugging the ball when he carried last week.. maybe he’s the catch of this year—who knows anymore.
The best defense is a good defense!
And last week's young players. Yes!

I think you may be right!
He has been givven a second chance and he KNOWS it. He knows why he was traded. He fumbled the ball at some very inopportune times, and he Knows it! I think that he has learned the lesson that was needed to get back in there and to be the back that he always could have been. Just hold onto the ball, baby!
