The Guru and Friends Predict -- NFL Week 12

Each year, I have given my thoughts and expertise a run for their money by publicly making my picks for each game every week. To add a twist, the fine contributors of MileHighReport have agreed to do the same, with the winner lying claim to the Title of "Best Game Picker On MHR Until Next Year..." or something like that.

My thanks to Styg50, HoosierTeacher, Zappa, MDierk and Melissa for agreeing to partake in a little bit of fun.  Without further ado, the picks --

Wow!

A lot of diffierent picks this week between any two pickers. This week should see a lot of pain or glory for each picker.

Everyone picked the Colts?

I’m kind of expecting a San Diego win. They dominate on SNF and are 5-0 in their last 5 home games. I’ll root for the Colts, but if I played pick ‘em, I’d go San Diego all the way.

If Mike Shanahan were a hotdog, would you eat him? I know I would. Hell, I'd eat him twice.

My thinking

The Bolts have been playing better lately, but so have the Colts. I’ll take the manning Offense over the SD one. The biggest hinderance for Indy is the loss of FS Sanders for this game. I try not to change my picks at the last minute, even for an injury, but I still think Indy gets the edge.

Indy's oline is improving by leaps and bounds

I’ll take that fundamental “goodness” everytime. But not exactly a chalk game.

In fact, there was very little chalk this week, period.

Mountains, forest, sea: these render man fierce, but yet do not destroy the man.
