So... this isn't going well.

I really didn’t want to be right about you choking on this one, guys. Just FYI.

Blast and botheration.

by Silverblood on Nov 23, 2008 3:36 PM MST reply actions

We let them think they can win,

and now they believe they can. This is not how to handle a weak team.

If Mike Shanahan were a hotdog, would you eat him? I know I would. Hell, I'd eat him twice.

by papigrande on Nov 23, 2008 3:37 PM MST reply actions

It's all about

mistakes, turnover, bad coverage on a kick, 2 missed field goals.

Fret not, however, we start with the ball. The defense is playing well. We are dominated TOP and yardage. Just no more mistakes, start hounding Russel and get some turnovers.

I agree, but oyu can't just correct your mistakes by just wishing it.

Why

do we always do stupid things in games that should be a blow out? My god, poor coaching and clock management…… better come out this half with an attitude.
Raiders are not going anywhere. They want to embarrass us in our house and so far it isn’t far from reality…..
stop the mistakes and focus boys…..

What

Is Cutler getting in Prater’s face about those misses? Ol’ Jayboy hasn’t been looking too sharp, either, and the wind could be to blame for both of them.

The wind is pretty bad.

It’s not all Prater. The wind is hurting Cutler too.

The problem is that we are playing vertical football. We need to convert to first down, not waste time throwing these long bombs. We can beat the raiders with short, high percentage passes and a good power run game.

Whoever is calling these ridiculous deep passes in this wind is just plain stupid.

The Broncos came out running the ball pretty well. It is a windy day where running the ball is ‘safer’ than throwing the ball down the field 40 yards at a time. I want to see us come back out and establish the game with the run again.

No.

In Detroit he was going to probowls. Let’s not get carried away. Bly is an underneath gambler, not a deep cover type CB. Even Bailey hasn’t looked like a pro-bower for two years. We need a pass rush, and wee need safeties in on those deep passes. CBs aren’t taught to “fight” for passes like they used to be (too much pass interference in the League this year).

It is still too easy to panic.

We just need to settle down, run the ball, and make shorter passes. We need to calm down, and get the job done. We were doing fine gaining yards until we started trying to win the game play by play.
