Colts Win, Broncos Maintain 2-game Lead
Adam Vinatieri's 51-yard FG as time expired sent the Chargers to their 7th loss, 23-20. The Broncos, despite getting embarrassed on their home field by the Raiders, have kept their 2-game lead in the division for at least one more week.
At some point the Broncos are going to need to take care of business, but until then we'll have to make do with the Chargers doing it for us....

Thank you Adam Vinatieri!
I think we’re all out of favors now.
Time to start playing football.
GO BRONCOS!!!

Time to make our own favors.
The Chargers have helped us out plenty this year, so now it is our turn. Lateley we seem to do better on the road, so hopefully that can continue next week against the Jets

Well...
As horrible as we played today, we still have a good shot at the playoffs thanks to Indy.
Even if the only team we beat is KC, the game against the Chargers will still determine who goes to the playoffs. I’m not sure how the tie-breaker would turn out if we lost to the Chargers and tied in the standings, but at least we know that we can make the playoffs if we win our two remaining division games…
I don’t know how we are in this position, but thank you Chargers for doing almost everything possible to not win the division…

I'm pretty sure that the loss today assures that SD would have the tiebreaker if we lost to them.
I think it’s 1. overall record; 2. head to head record; 3. division record. So if the overall and head to head record are both tied then it goes to division record and we would have lost 3 (assuming a victory over KC) and right now they’ve only lost one.
GO BRONCOS!!!

That is why we need to get our act together.
SD is 4-7 so they need to run the table to finish at 9-7, which I don’t see happening (next game is ATL) So one more loss and they are 8-8 at best.
We are 6-5 so if we can go 3-2 over the final 5 games we will win the division at 9-7. Not very exciting yet if gives us some playoff experience.
Right now all I can do is hope this come true. Next year we need to start playing better at home.

Is backing in better?
Than not going at all? Frustrated is all that I feel right now. The Broncos need this, that, and the third. Not the way to play.
Schedule for the rest of the season is not kind to the Broncos. Winning these games possible? Of course. Losing these games possible? Yes. Next year is going to be worse. Gelling now has to become priority.
Beating themselves seems to be the theme right now. It has been that way for a while. Is it coming from up top? I keep forgetting that this is such a young team. Injuries and lack of continuity also contribute to these up-and-down results. Growing pains hurt. Especially from the Faiders. Yuck.
The health of this team should be getting better for the stretch run. I want to run with them. All Ready!
