Weak-side linebacker D.J. Williams suffered an unspecified injury to his medial collateral ligament on Miami's long fourth- quarter touchdown drive and was on crutches after the game.

Very sorry to read this.

D.J. is our last remaining elite defender, as far as I’m concerned—and it certainly makes me wonder: who will wear the mic’d helmet now?

I second the ouch

The best defense is a good offense!

At least we have wasted his talent

I have no doubt that a backup can fill in for DJ, since we weren’t asking DJ to do anything special this year. I don’t mean to be sarcastic or sound bitter either. DJ and Champ were wasted this year, so at least when we go all game without a single weakside blitz of devestating ferocity now, it will finally make sense.

Slowik’s defensive philosophy and scheming remind me of building codes. Instead of elevating the standards of building practices, the use of force within the industry forced all standards down to the lowest denominator. Slowik’s defense reduces great players to no better than the guy next to them, while we watch other rebuilding defenses capitalize on their few great players skills.

Mountains, forest, sea: these render man fierce, but yet do not destroy the man.

Harsh words

Not that I disagree. How’d you come out with your Porter vs Clady bet?

If there's gonna be a collison, you better start it. Larry Csonka.

I agree, not harsh, just to the point,

I am always critical of why DJ wasn’t used to attack more.

Now what do we do?

well i have an idea! lets put K2 in at MLB and move Webster back outside to fill D.J.’s spot. This seems like a very interesting idea to me.
