Is it time for Shanahan to go?

Maybe I am a little more critical than some in the MHR, but what I saw this weekend was a team that had no focus, no zeal, and no real answers for a motivated Miami team.  With over two weeks to prepare, we looked horrid, that is unexcusable in my mind.  To me I saw a team who could really care less what Shanahan and Company are telling them.  Do I think Shanahan can still coach, yes, can he still coach the Broncos, I am really having my doubts.  A wise man once said," With absolute power comes absolute corruption."  I think Shannan has more power than any NFL coach and he seems to want to keep that power and always shift the blame to someone else, every year there is another scape goat:

Dale Carter, Greg Robinson, not having a cover corner, Brian Griese, Ray Rhodes, Gibbs is son, Jake Plummer, Larry Coyer, Travis Henry, Javon Walker, Ted Sunquist

And the funny thing is, everyone on that list was in Denver because of Mike Shanahan.

And I am sure there will be more than a few scapegoats besides Shanahan after this year.

After awhile, there really isn't anymore excuses except the one in the mirror.  I have heard all the reasons for not letting Shanahan move on like he got us our Super Bowls, we can't possibly find a better coach, etc.. But Bill Walsh said basically that a head coach has about 10 years for a team to keep listening to him, after that, they start to tune the music out.  I think this team has tuned Shanahan out and that is a big problem that really can only be changed by changing the coach.  Is Shannan a Hall of Fame coach, probably, but even Hall of Fame coaches lose their teams (happened to Landry and Noll).  Cutler obviously is not listening or learning, the running game has fallen apart, and the defense again has figured out when to collapse in critical stretches.   The one that I can't figure is Cutler, obviously with Shanahan being a supposed QB guru and offensive mastermind I would assume with someone as talented as Cutler that is supposedly a true student of the game, that he would be able to mold Cutler and make him into an elite QB, but it looks like Cutler has a general disdain for Mike Shanahan that reminds me of the Reeves and Elway relationship.

I think Bowlen needs to talk to Shanahan about moving on after this year.  I do not subscribe to the fact we can not find any better coach, what we need is a coach that can motivate and get this team to play to their potential, the X's and O's can be handled by good coordinators.
