'Twelve-Four Maybe' The death of '13-3 baby'

More than the death of '13-3 baby' is knowing that '12-4 MAYBE' is just that--a big maybe!

What team (talking Broncos) will show up at Cleveland? The team that moves down the field at will--or the Jay that seems to be playing for the other team--what a funny difference from our first three games. I hate to be negative, but Jay has not been in touch with this team's ability, or reality, the last few games.  His mind seems to be in a fog--only able to focus on one thought (one target)--not good for a QB--I feel for him. I wonder if the sugar questions is not as under control as he hoped. Jay---as much as I love him--is acting like a QB that some teams would trade.

I hope we never trade Jay.

You guys know that I dwell less in stats and more in emotion. I hate the death of '13-3 baby' I hate it a lot.  You can blame Zappa--I believed him.!  Just kidding of course--I think I said it before him--Zappa is very negative when things don't go right.............ya know.

Zappa, we have a good team. I just read a comment from you that said 9-7 will end our season--shame on you.  Cutler will step up, Brandon will continue to prove himself something special, Royal is special, Hillis (and its about time), our defense stopped most plays for no yards. There were so many good things that came out this loss that I feel better than some of our wins.

This is how 12-4 is in our future--we beat the Browns--one game at a time in a one game league.

The root of the Broncos problems:

If we only had more Cowbell, all our problems would be solved.

13-3 next year! Baby!

Watch this.

Then you will be of understanding. Just remember that the definition of cowbell according to Webster’s is “that of which there needs to be more.” You can look it up. If the Broncos had enough cowbell, they would be 9-0 right now. They would have even won in the bye week.

13-3 next year! Baby!

We need some Rick James on offense

You know, the 13-3 thing started out as a concept of where I thought this team was going.

It kinda took off there on me, but hey, I still think this team is capable of going 13-3…and next year I’ll be saying it again. ;)

Hi mike

Love the optimist in you . I think we can gash this browns defense thursday with a lot
of screen plays. But the decision to start brady quinn now troubles me.
first He has been riding the bench waiting for his chance/ big break ! He should be
very well prepared plus the extra motivation to prove something and not blow it .
I wonder if the cleveland coaching staff purposely picked this game because they
think he should have great sucess against a struggleing broncos defense

br..............philly

philly, this game has nothing to do with what Cleveland does, it has to do with where Jay’s brain is at. For some reason he is trying to win games at his trial only. I don’t know how he got this into his brain—but that is where it is. Jay needs to step out of this thought and move forward to the elite QB that he is going to be. Quit thinking about what ‘I am capable of’ and do what needs to be done.

If jay does this, 12-4 is possible.

The best defense is a good offense!
I hope.

I kinda suspect the same

Play Quinn against a defense that wasn’t good before this week and now has their two best players out (Champ and DJ). Hope our offense can get off their arse and do something early to put the pressure on Cleveland. I also hate these Thursday games we have to go on the road for.

I am waiting

for HT’s chalk talk. I do not know what kind of defense Clevland employs or what tactic we may use to counter thier strengths or exploit their weaknesses. I know the Brown offense has been struggling, butr i look at that as an opportunity for our defense to shine. Hmm. What say you HT?

That’s ok with me. We’re playing for wins, not media publicity....HT 9/11/08

He told me

he was taking time off from work SPECIFICALLY to address chalktalk this week! ;)

it seems to me

that the true Broncos offense has showed up the last few weeks. at first they came out and passed like crazy like none of us had seen before. it was unexpected for everyone, including opposing defenses. now it has become painfully obvious that the Broncos have NO running game and the defense can sit back and watch for passes. if we cannot establish the threat of a running game it will continue to look the same as it has for the past few weeks. the other coaches are on to us.

You may be right--I guess we'll see.

I don't think it is a the true Broncos offense....

I think our offense is capable of 41 or 17…like I said earlier, our fortunes ride upon the shoulders of Jay Cutler. No more, No less.
