DJ Williams injury??
I saw on ESPNEWS that DJ Williams will be out a month with a knee injury. Umm, I don't remember him getting hurt during the game, and I haven't seen anything about it on the site so I guess I'm just hoping I read it wrong or something. Anybody have any news on this? Also, how quickly did our "stable" of running backs (Young, Pittman, Hall, Hillis, Alrige, and Torain) shrink so much. BTW, why don't we bring in Alrige now that Hall and Pitt are out for the year?

DJ is out with an MCL
I forget when he left the game, somewhere between “oh crap is this happening to us AGAIN???” and “I can’t watch, turn it off now!!!!” He was replaced by Woodyard, and I think Green got some reps as well. I wonder how they handled the communications helmet when that happened.
Alridge is on IR, so he wont be joining us this season. He hurt his leg in preseason, never made it to the 53 man roster or practice squad. That is three RBs to IR by the halfway mark of the season. We are down to Young and Torain, both coming off injuries, Hillis at FB and PJ Pope who has joined us from the practice squad after joining the practice squad a few weeks ago. I simply cannot imagine a worse injury situation at one position.

It happened...
in the 4th quarter on the last drive. 3rd and 17, Broncos send the blitz and the Dolphins ran that perfect screen play to pick up 16 yards. D.J. actually got hurt making the tackle. He twisted the knee trying to keep the Dolphins running back from getting the first down. He was successful, but the Dolphins converted when they went for it on 4th down. McCree was hurt on the same play, so we actually lost two players on the single play.

I knew that on DJ, I didn't remember when McCree went out
At the time I thought that was a game saving play by DJ, too bad our defense let them off the hook the next play. One has to wonder if he hadn’t been out would Miami of run it, DJ had been a monster on 3rd and short and 4th and short this year.

yep
I was very sad when I saw the play because he dragged the player back from a first down, and he landed right on top of his knee. I knew instantly there was trouble a-brewing.

Communications helmet...
Styg I belive I read or heard every team is allowed a back up helmet on D and O. The back up Offensive helmet is obviously the 2nd string QB. I think Nate Webster has the back up communication helmet for the Defense. Don’t quote me on this but I thought I read or heard that some where. Can any one confirm?

Every team has backup helmets.
If you recall a few weeks ago (I believe it was TB) that the primary communication helmet wasn’t working so they switch, but the helmet didn’t fit on the players head so they went sans com. And I believe in theory anyone could wear the com helmet, they just have to check in with the ref at the beginning of the play, so the ref can make sure theres only 1 com helmet out on the field per side, (which is what the green dot is for)
Remember, there are no numbers on the helmets, so they can be interchanged with others for any reason.
I expect that Webster will be wearing the com helmet, since it’s typically the MLB.

...
Can we please have one year where the injuries don’t kill the great expectations we have for our team?
