Guru and Friends Predict....Week 10 in the NFL
USE THIS THREAD TO TALK ABOUT ALL THE DAY'S ACTION!!
Each year, I have given my thoughts and expertise a run for their money by publicly making my picks for each game every week. To add a twist, the fine contributors of MileHighReport have agreed to do the same, along with my lovely wife, with the winner laying claim to the Title of "Best Game Picker On MHR Until Next Year..." or something like that.
Full Disclosure -- Everyone had the Broncos on Thursday. Zappa had selected Cleveland earlier in the week until I posted the video of Romeo Crennel "guaranteeing" victory. How bad could it have looked for Z had he not changed his mind?
My thanks to Styg50, HoosierTeacher, Zappa, MDierk and Melissa for agreeing to partake in a little bit of fun. Without further ado, the picks --

I'm not too upset about us giving up Foxworth
Foxworth was a good tackler, but he never stopped anybody from catching the ball. He got completely picked apart when he was on our team, and with our defensive line this year that was not going to change. He was a great guy, but was never great player.
Predictions before the season began: 11-5 and a top five offense (I was probably too conservative).

Also, Paymah has been coming on as of late.
From what I could tell he did fine in the Cleveland game.

Yes, Paymah is showing a good combination of speed, grace and awareness
I hope we are able to resign him. Foxworth was a classy guy, but we all have to move on. At least we got a draft pick for him.

what in the world is carolina thinking?
I’m glad they are being stupid because Fargas is on my fantasy team and would like him to still be viable in the game, but really Delhomme has 4 INTs and completed less than a third of his passes, while they’ve gained over 100 on the ground, they have a lead, and THEY ARE STILL PASSING. Their last few drives have taken about 30 seconds off the clock.

I would give Herm Edwards credit except that unlike Shanahan, that call to go for two was stupid. Take the tie and let San Diego shoot themselves in their foot.

So, is there any reason I should care about the MNF game?
I usually like watching football on Monday night, but I couldn’t care less about the 49ers or the Cardinals. Anyone have any words that might make this game worth watching for me? Will it be good football? Really bad football? Etc. Or should I just not bother and go to bed early for a change?

Get some extra sleep
ARI is for real, so maybe that is an interesting storyline, given their perrenial “suck”, but at best this game will showcase ARI’s passing offense or will feature bad football giving SF a chance to win. Either way it is bound to be boring for most fans…
