Broncos @ Chargers Moved To 8:15 PM est
The NFL has moved the Broncos/Chargers game, previously scheduled for 4:15 est to 8:15 est with the game now to be televised on NBC.
Personally I was hoping the game would remain at 4:15, but expected this move just the same. Being televised in Primetime should just add to the hooplah that should be coming in the week ahead.

i thought they had to give like two weeks notice...
That just two more hours of agony and fear before the game!!!
Jules: Tell 'em, Vincent.
Vincent: A (Eddie) Royale with cheese.
Jules: A (Eddie) Royale with cheese! You know why they call it that?
Brett: Because of the metric system?
Jules: Check out the big brain on Brett! You're a smart mother******. That's right. The metric system.

I heard they were going to announce the
two teams by Monday and if the DEN/SD game was for the division they that is what it would be.
Well, here we go. One game for the whole ball of wax. No excuses, no complaining, no what ifs, just 60 minutes of AFC West football for a playoff spot.

We have sucked on nationally televised games....
So this will be a HUGE occasion.
Jay has the chance to be clutch like Rivers was today.
Jay was no Pro Bowl QB today and Rivers was. Jay needs to prove he can get it done when everything is on the line.

Maybe we can rock them like we did Oakland
in the first prime time game of the season.

Well, I guess the NFL got what it wanted
Sorry, but some of the non-calls in that game, I really felt like the NFL said, look if you are going to have a border line call, make sure Denver gets screwed. Dare I say the fix was in. Yeah, I know, Buffalo came to play and they beat us not the refs, but those non-calls when Denver was goal to go would of given us a sizable lead and probably destroyed Buffalo’s heart for the game, instead the refs gave them some hope and they capatilized.

And so, for Denver and SD, the playoffs begin NOW.

We were playing for a bye week today
and homefield for at least the first game of the playoffs. As it stands, we lost the bye week and SD earned themselves a shot at a home playoff game against a division rival.
NBC was right to flex this, and they have been waiting patiently for it from the day the schedules were announced. As far as hooplah goes, it is to be expected for a playoff game…

Turns out
that NBC didn’t choose to flex this game, the NFL did. The contract language for Sunday Night Football says that the NFL gets to decide which team gets the week 17 flex.
The Broncos/Chargers got flexed because it was the only ‘pure’ playoff game on the docket, in that the winner goes on and the loser goes home.

Us Miami fans will gladly take the 8 PM game if you'd wish to trade!

They would have definitely taken Jets/Fins
Had the Jets lived up to their end…..

Jets/Fins
Have been flexed from 11:00 MST to 2:15. Ditto Jags at Baltimore and Cowboys at Philadelphia.
To bear up under loss, to fight the bitterness of defeat and the weakness of grief, to be victor over anger, to smile when tears are close, to resist evil men and base instincts, to hate evil and to love love, to go on when it would seem good to die, to seek after the glory and the dream, to look up with unquenchable faith in something evermore about to be, that is what any man can do, and so be great.

No
That is okay. By the way, Daniel, good luck with Miami this coming Sunday. I hope they win. That will assure that the Cheatriots don’t win the East this year. After what happened in Denver tonight, the Bills might beat New England at home this Sunday anyhow.

I was hoping they’d put DET-GB in prime time. I root for history.
