Our Free Agents
It takes no genius Bill Parcells to tell you that what we got isn't working. I always hate the fire sales, but that's what's expected to happen (At least on the defensive side of the ball.) Here's who we got coming off the books:
- QB - Patrick Ramsey
- RB - Andre Hall
- RB - Michael Pittman
- WR - Darrell Jackson
- C - Tom Nalen
- DL - Kenny Peterson
- LB - Nate Webster
I got all these from a link from Sneaky Sean. (Thanks for the solid site.) It seems a little inaccurate with a few things here and there though so if you notice I'm missing any, just inform me. It does have every free agent on the market which will help with our conversation.
I'd like to discuss our situation on the messaging board. Whether that's who we should sign, who we should cut (no we can't cut the whole defense), and who we should let walk.
I got some quick questions myself:
How much money do we have to burn?
What is the biggiest contract coming off the books?
What is our draft position?
Where are all our nine picks at?

I dont want Pittman back..
I love him but I expect Hillis to get some carries, and I’m sure Torrain will get another shot. We need a speedy back too, whether that’s signing Sproles or brining a healthy AA back. But I really, really want Derrick Ward. Next to Haynesworth, which is unrealistic, he’s number one on my wish list…
Jules: Tell 'em, Vincent.
Vincent: A (Eddie) Royale with cheese.
Jules: A (Eddie) Royale with cheese! You know why they call it that?
Brett: Because of the metric system?
Jules: Check out the big brain on Brett! You're a smart mother******. That's right. The metric system.
yea id guess you are right
we need to spend that money where it really needs to be spent…..on the whole defense

What about Aldrige, he is tha speed back,

That's what AA is dude..
Yes, I'm a Diamondback and Suns fan. So you may be wondering, "Why does this fool like the broncos so much?"
A: The Cardinals are too hard of a pill to swallow. Oh yeah and that Elway dude....
oh yea....and about parcells
they are saying on espn that he can opt out of his contract. would denver bring him in as a GM or something to help with rebuilding the defense, or maybe bring him in as the new defensive coordnator?
"You play to win the game!"- Herm Edwards
First off..
…he will never, EVER be a second fiddle defensive coordinater. And I’d love him to take the “Ultimate and infinately powerful Destroyer of Worlds” position he had in Miami. But I can already see Shanny and him butting heads. They just play too opposite of styles…
…And how could you come to cold, ol mushy Denver after Miami?

yea they would butt heads, but maybe a lot of dough could help fix that
do u think Marty could step in as d-coordnator? that would be interesting

Is Farrior really a free agent?
And I’d think about taking a shot at Channing Chrowder..

Both are free agents, Farrior seems likea better 3-4 backer than a 4-3 guy, Chrowder may be a better option

Yeah but we need to convert to that. We are not playing to our talents...

In the MHR keeper league, who is Just Shanny Being Shanny?
He litterally beat my Cutler’s Applejuice by like double my points for the trophy. I just wanted to say congrats to him

if anyone saw the bills recently, fred jackson looks like a real good power back, in case hillis is being used elsewhere. power running, baby
hear me, perpetrators of bread crime, your punishment is at hand.

depth players
nalen is done, everyone else on that list can either stay on the cheap for depth, or sign elsewhere. no problems here.

I agree
Really sad about Nalen, but he was going to retire after this year anyway, and his bad knee puts the ink on that. All of the others will likely be in camp next summer, but my bet is only Peterson makes the team.
To bear up under loss, to fight the bitterness of defeat and the weakness of grief, to be victor over anger, to smile when tears are close, to resist evil men and base instincts, to hate evil and to love love, to go on when it would seem good to die, to seek after the glory and the dream, to look up with unquenchable faith in something evermore about to be, that is what any man can do, and so be great.
