SI.com's Offensive Rookie of the Year List -- Where is Eddie Royal??

  1. Matt Ryan, QB, Falcons (1): His play has been so exceptional this season that he should garner some consideration as the league MVP.
  2. Matt Forte, RB, Bears (3): The Bears' star is one of the most complete backs to enter the league in recent years. Forte is the league's fifth-leading rusher (1,012 yards) and his 48 receptions are the most of any running back.
  3. Chris Johnson, RB, Titans (2): The electrifying runner broke out of his recent slump with his big performance against the Lions (16 carries, 125 rushing yards). Johnson is second in the AFC with 958 rushing yards.
  4. Joe Flacco, QB, Ravens (4): He is maturing from game manager to playmaker in the Ravens' offense. Flacco has thrown at least one touchdown in the Ravens' past seven games and only two interceptions during that span.
  5. Steve Slaton, RB, Texans (5): The sensational playmaker has come on strong during the past few weeks. He has topped the century mark in two of the last three games and is averaging five yards per carry.

Bucky Brooks...

was a crap-tastic WR on some terrible Indianapolis Colts teams. He’s not much better as a football writer, either.

Clady's on offense...

if i remember correctly…

Remember: New England won 18 last year; Oakland's won 19 in a half-decade

True...

But when it comes to awards, O-Linemen always get overlooked, right or wrong. Royal’s absence, however, is completely friggin wrong…

Clady and Royal play

for some dusty cow town in the mountains. The others don’t.

This is why, as Guru has implied, we need to be yelling and screaming their names in our votes and any other way we can.

Agreed.

Time for us to “Rock the Vote” when it comes to our Broncos that deserve it.

Slaton was MIA the first half of the season

I like him, but Eddie has been producing from day one. Bump Slaton off the list and put Royal at #5 and that should pretty much solve everything… world hunger, peace in our time, AIDS….

Just how many

60 – 80 yard TD completions, or 7-reception games, does Fast Eddie have to get before he gets a sniff? :(

This isnt surprising

Then again this is why i dont subscribe to SI or read it online. What could be a better way to shove it to all these writers than Denver winning the Super Bowl

somethings wrong, Trying to conquer these fears i thought were gone. And it's been so long, I'm dying to live in a world i don't belong

Problem Solved.

I hereby summarily declare Eddie Royal Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Learn it. Live it. Know it.

Nice Fast Times at Ridgemont High quote there Mastermind!!!!....

But, yeah, cant you feel all this ill will to the Broncos boiling up and being used as tackiling fuel by our team. Nothing worse for the rest of the NFL than a fired up, pissed off super talented YOUNG team that does not know any better.
BRING IT ON!!!!!!

it's hard to argue with the top 4

slaton over royal? no. qb is going to get it’s props(ryan will win), because of the importance and difficulty of the position, and the increase in wins. rb is all numbers, and easy to compare players. but if you look at what royal has done at the wr and returner positions since game one, he definitely should be given consideration. anyone have his stats handy(where’s the new stat guy?) total yards should be pretty impressive, as well as receptions. unfortunately, ol for rookie-of-the-year often get overlooked for the #’s guys. if there was a rookie-lineman-of-the-year, this would be no contest

hear me, perpetrators of bread crime, your punishment is at hand.
