Broncos Signed Safety Herna-Daze Jones
This is from the DenverPost:
The Broncos added depth to their safety position Wednesday by signing Herna-Daze Jones.
A special teams player the previous two seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals, Jones was waived by the team last month. Jones, 26, had been plagued by a hamstring injury.
The former Indiana University prospect fills the roster spot vacated by defensive tackle Josh Shaw, who was placed on the injured reserve list Tuesday.
Hopefully he can contribute better than his predecessors.

True enough
Man I can’t believe it is this hard to find a safety.

Just as you think there can't possibly be more safetys out there...
But I think he will do well… He is a reject, but at least a reject from that vaunted Cincy defense.
Over/Under on how many weeks he will last? 2 weeks?
Sorry, I’m a bit cranky today…

I'll take the under ;)
I was recently trying to figure out if there were any safeies worth bringing in. The only one seemed like a remotely decent possibility was Josh Gattis. He was a 5th round pick of the Jags last year and was cut in training camp this year by the Bears (not sure if he was with the Jags for 2007). The fact he has been cut twice in his 18 months in the league is not a good sign, but I think every player in the pool we are looking at has similar flaws.
Either way, good luck to Mr. Jones

Cut by the Bengals AND is plagued by a hamstring injury?
So, why not bring him in.

john lynch, anyone?
this is a parade of clowns not seen here since…well, last season, on the d-line. where is abdullah, anyway? shanny really whiffed at this position, i’m sorry to say. to say these guys are “interchangable” is really saying they all suck, isn’t it? thank god for the offense and a soft schedule. if you still don’t consider this a soft schedule, look at next season and compare. ouch! anyway, moving on, and still play-off bound!
hear me, perpetrators of bread crime, your punishment is at hand.
