What will Shanny do on draft day?

That, my friends, is the $64,000 question on the minds of every Broncos fan this week.  We have NINE draft picks to play with this weekend.  That's a whole lot of picks.  The more I think about it the more I like our position in the draft.

I recently read a convincing post by amirebram about why we shouldn't trade down from #12 come this weekend.   At the time, Guru had me sold on trading down to pick up a third rounder.  Cha-ching, I thought...but amir asked the hard question as to who we might pick if we traded down if Williams, Hardy, or Clady were gone.  The great void is all I see.

Perhaps there could be a compromise.  Like I said earlier, we have NINE picks.  bundle up a few late round picks and trade up into the third.  We would likely still have a 4th to play with.  Meanwhile we stand pat at #12 and try to pick the best player on the board.

At this point, I think the only way I would support us trading down is if we pick up two first round picks in next years deep draft class.  I am also not high on moving up to pick up a player in the top ten.  Too risky and too expensive in my opinion.
