Old Mile High

Old Mile High.

I have never, and I mean never, tried anything like this before, inserting links into a post.  See what you guys make me do.  I hope it works.

For you history buffs there's a real nice article from the Rocky Mountain News about the Old Mile High Stadium here:

http://denver.rockymountainnews.com/milehigh/1223mile0.shtml

It has brief references to a lot of the stories from Bronco history we've been talking about and a few we haven't.  I hope this stirs the pot a little.

Awesome job.

I will always regret not seeing a live game in the Old Mile High…

Sheeesh!!

We are going to have to start calling you Techno Trinidad Jack. That was a great write-up. It conjures up many memories. Thanks for posting it. What do you say to getting together to write a piece? Sort of a fireside chat type of thing. Any other “seasoned” fans want to participate? My email is in my fan page. I will be out of touch for awhile as I move the computer and reorganize per Styg’s recommendations.

So first fan any interest in scouting for MHR?

Until Terrell Davis makes it into the Hall of Fame, I refuse to acknowledge the existence of such a place other than the Ring of Fame at Mile High!

Davis to the Hall!

Yes,

I agreed to be back-up to the third assistant for Disco Stu and the Mt. West. It is kinda hard for me to see much from the great alone of the Alaska wilderness, but I will look at Wyoming and I think I still know a few people who live in Laramie.

Right now I am in the midst of tearing my whole area apart to get organized.

Sounds like a good idea.

You know, when I just sit here and say to myself, “remember some great Bronco moment,” it doesn’t happen. But when I read what others remember, it tickles my imagination and memories start coming back. A bunch of us old farts sitting around the pickle barrel and rememberin’ with the kids listenin’ in and askin’ bout the good old days. Sounds like a bit of O.K.

They’re gonna shut me down in about 15 minutes and I won’t be able to log back on till Monday but I’ll get back to you then.

I found the Numbers section to be interesting.

I was disappointed the pictures don’t load for the “faces” section.

Yeah,

He was a real brawler. I heard he got himself into some money trouble because of that fight and asked to renegotiate his contract but the Bronco refused. That’s when he went to CLeveland, I think and then the raiders.

BTW, he lost, but stayed in the ring. I don’t think Ali took it seriously. It was more like a circus than a fight.
