Lets play Fantasy Football.
I created a league on ESPN called the Denver Gentlemen. Please notice the 'E' in Gentlemen as there is two similar leagues. Both created by me of course but I'm only using The Denver Gentlemen. The name comes from a rugby team in Aspen called the Aspen Gentlemen (FYI). Anyways thats besides the point but, I would love it if this league was filled with MHR folk. Have a great Monday guys!
P.S

Yay
I haven’t played famtasy football in years. Just joined and looks like I’m the first one!

I Joined
Announcing the creation of the Cleveland Dominators. I never win in football, but always do in fantasy baseball for some reason. And I know much, much more about football than baseball. Oh, well, I’m in anyway.

I have resurrected
the 33-0 Alaska 93ers. But feel free to thump me soundly on gameday, I was always more lucky than good. :)
And I am taking early dibs on the MHR league as well, where I expect to thoroughly thrashed by his Russness and his Guruness. I will ressurect my least succesful team (Toilers of the C++) for that league. They were never very good for some reason, but their late season heroics always won me over…

I'd like to join up on the MHR league as well...if possible.
I renamed my team to the Sacto Beavers in honor of the mythological beavers that are said to inhabit the Sacramento region. I have yet to see one anywhere.
I think it might be related to the lack of redwood trees in the area around Redwood City in the bay area.

Yeah, I was wondering about that too
The MHR League, not mythological beavers. Anyone know where to sign up?

there isn't an official sign up yet
I was just hoping to intimidate others so that I could have my way later…
It doesn’t work with my wife either.

Are there any spots left?
If I can get in, I would like to introduce the Glacier Lightning. They don’t move fast very often, but they strike hard when they do!

I think there is still two spots left.

Have you gone to ESPN to sign up?
You’ll want to go over to ESPN and register, if you haven’t already, for an ESPN account (free). Then go to fantasy, select “get started”, and find “Denver Gentlemen” in the list. When you choose to join you will fill in your team info.
If you didn’t already know. :)
And last time I checked there were still two spots open…

stupid timezones
I may be getting my first job here soon (still in High School, going into my senior year next year) and it’s possible that the 11:00 draft may be a little hard for me to plan for. I’m not asking to reschedule, I’m just putting a reason out there in case I don’t show up.
"I could never quite get the hang of Thursdays..."
Agreed.
I’m in the same boat you are- I’ll be a junior next year. I have to be at football weights at 6:30 AM the day after the draft, and I have a 7 on 7 game at noon. There is a way we can vote to change the time of the draft; I say the Thursday right after the scheduled draft day (that’s July 17) around 8-ish? (Mountain Time)
Why do I live in Kansas City?
8 MST = 10 PST right?
I am okay with that…anything earlier than 6:30PM PST would kill any chance for me making it to a live draft…

No, 8 MST = 7 PST
I think. I’m not really sure what the difference is between the two because I’m in Central Time Zone, but I know it gets later as you go right :)
Why do I live in Kansas City?
typo...I meant to say 8 MST = 10 EEEST ;)

I wish I had cared
enough about football earlier in life… I really wish I could’ve played some sort of DB (I may be too slow for corner though). Instead I’m stuck wanting to become a sports writer, hopefully going to the University of South Florida (any NCAA fans should remember that name from last season).
