"Top 10 Mobile QBs in NFL History"

Ok, here's a list that I have HUGE issues with... how can you have a top 10 mobile QB's list w/o Elway's name!?!?!? And this is coming from NFL.com no less!!!! =/

Dan Marino????

I know there is an East Coast bias, but sheesh! Dan Marino has never been a mobile QB. His quick release was his best weapon.

To leave Elway out of this list is as insulting as having only 2 Broncos in the hall of shame.

Worst Ever...

I am not a big proponent of Lists, but this is a big pile of horse crap!

I saw this a long time ago...biggest pile of dung on Earth.

Dan Marino was mobile because he could move around IN THE POCKET?

lol yea...

I’ve been trying to find a way to post some comments on their “list”... trying to give them a “you-know-what you”. But alas, nfl.com doesn’t really have a comments section!!! =/

No, that is because they are inward looking. Their opinion is all that matters so piss off.

To not have John Elway on the list of most mobile quarterbacks is absurd. This comment disrespect the NFL because they have disrespected me and all Bronco fans. Above all they have disrespected one of their own All-Time greatest players.

why am I not surprised

That list has a total of 3 rings. Now how about this Marino has a career total of 87 yards rushing on 301 attempts and 9 tds. His YPC is a HUGE .3.
Elway: 3407 on 774 attempts 33 scores and a 4.4 YPC. Ya Marino deserves to be on there.

Helicopter

Maybe they reviewed the Superbowl highlights and saw Elway do the Helicopter. They couldn’t process someone making positive yardage vertical.

eh

the 3 i have a problem with are marino, staubach, and i don’t even know douglass. no elway? isn’t he like second in rushing all-time to cunningham or something? at least they didn’t put bernie kosar after marino. most of the other picks aren’t too bad, though

by davecheffy on Jun 26, 2008 12:28 AM MDT   0 recs

lol @ kosar, the side-armed wonder

He and Elway did have some good battles though…

Hm… so where would you guys rank Elway if you did a Top 5 Mobile list?

I think mine would be:
1 – Tarkenton
2 – Cunningham
3 – Elway
4 – Young
5 – Vick (blegh)

the wording of the question

If you want the MOST mobile QBs, it’s a very different list than the BEST mobile QBs. The list of BEST mobile QBs goes:

1. Elway
2. Young
3. Tarkenton
4. Staubach
5. McNabb

The list of MOST mobile QBs is more like:

1. Vick
2. Cunningham
3. Douglass
4. Elway
5. Tarkenton
