31 Reasons That Broncos Fans Should Not Feel Bad
In times like these with B-Marsh in Vegas, us coming off of a 7-9 record and the fact that we have gone two seasons without a playoff birth we have to hold hope. So I have compiled a list of 31 reasons that we should not feel bad about our team. Things can be worse and I am here to show you why. There is one reason for every team. So remember, when you are feeling down about the Broncos and you can't get the thought of us losing off of your mind just come look at all these different reasons to hold out hope for us.
Reason #31, Dolphins: We didn't go 1-11 then become so desperate that we needed to take the Tuna out from retirement not to coach but to work in some office at a position that doesn't really matter.
Reason #30, Rams: We didn't come into the season with the one of the best QBs, best RBs, and best WRs, and still end up the second worst in the league.
Reason #29, Falcons: We didn't put our entire season in the hands of some dogfighting, lawbreaking loser, who isn't even a real QB and when they left cried like little babies and had to spend our first round pick just to forget about him.

Reason #28, Raiders: We aren't the Raiders. THANK THE LORD!!!!!!!!!!
Reason #27, Chiefs: We don't have a starting QB who can't win a game on his home turf after playing half of season and actually winning the QB job.
Reason #26, Jets: We don't have one of the greatest comeback seasons ever with the comeback player of the year then come back and go 4-12. Not to mention be stupid enough to not notice that there are guys in Patriots sweatshirts videotaping you.
Reason #25, 49ers: We don't have a QB position battle so open that a Center could probably be allowed to compete in it and win.
via deseretnews.com
Reason #24, Ravens: We did not have the best defense in the AFC content with our QB then came in and suddenly decided our QB was terrible and our defense sucked so we changed them completely in the draft.
Reason #23, Bengals: Brandon Marshall's arrest may have been bad but just remember that half of our team was not arrested and once we were done with that our best player demanded a trade only to come crying back saying that he "acted psycho".
Reason #22, Saints: We did not use our second overall pick in the NFL Draft on a backup running back who averages 3 yards per carry.
Reason #21, Bills: Our second round pick star of the future linebacker was not taken out for the entire season because of an injury in the 3rd game of the season.
Reason #20, Panthers: We did not rely on the washed up, ancient Vinny Testeverde to help us get through half of the season. That's something to be proud of!
Reason #19, Bears: We did not lose in the Super Bowl and then end the following season last in our division and 7-9.
Reason #18, Lions: We did not trade our Pro Bowl CB for a backup running back who had only 100 yards. We also did not pick the best player in the draft only to be riddled by injuries in his rookie season.
Reason #17, Cardinals: We did have two star WRs, the second QB taken off the draft board in 2006, a Pro Bowl RB, and one of the best Safeties in the league only to face two straight mediocre seasons. Instead we got the 3rd QB drafted and guess what? He played better than the first two.
Reason #16, Vikings: We did not have the rookie of the year, the best defense in the league, and the best running game in the NFL but still miss the playoffs.
Reason #15, Texans: The QB which we thought would be our savior did not get injured and be replaced by the average Sage Rosenfels.
Reason #14, Eagles: We did not rely on the health of our QB and finally when he had a relatively healthy season we still did not go 8-8.
Reason #13, Browns: We did not go 10-6 and still somehow managed to miss the playoffs. I know that sucks!
Reason #12, Buccaneers: We did not have a RB who completely fooled us in his rookie season with what we thought was skill and a QB who is what? 37 or something years old.
via cache.daylife.com
Reason #11, Redskins: It may have happened a long time ago but it would still haunt us today if we would have traded Champ Bailey for Clinton Portis.
Reason #10, Seahawks: We did not get lead to the Super Bowl by a Madden Cover boy, MVP, and record breaker, RB only to lose the Super Bowl and have that RB follow it up with two straight below 1,000 yard seasons. Bye bye Shaun Alexander.
Reason #9, Steelers: We did not have our QB and team leader win a Super Bowl then nearly kill himself on motorcycle.
Reason #8, Titans: We did not supply our rookie of the year QB with no receivers and then when you have a chance to draft some you wait to the 4th round.
Reason #7, Chargers: Our RB when he does not win a playoff game does not go home and cry. We do not have a punk QB caught on cameras smack talking the other team from across the field.
Reason #6, Jaguars: We did not start the 2007 season season as the least liked team in the NFL. It did not take us a decade to find a good QB.
Reason #5, Packers: Our legendary QBs ride off into the Sunset was not throwing an Interception in overtime IN A PLAYOFF GAME just to be eliminated by the future Super Bowl winners.
Reason #4, Cowboys: We do not have a QB who loses every playoff game and when his girlfriend comes to watch we do not lose.
Reason #3, Colts: We do not have WR who gets interviewed in murder cases and hurts our chances of winning because he is "injured". It seems like it is "Im too tired, I don't want to play today."
Reason #2, Patriots: We do not have a perfect season until the Super Bowl when we lose to the Giants. We were not caught cheating and were not involved in the biggest scandal that the NFL has ever seen.
Reason #1, Giants: We do not only win in front of other teams fans only to get boos and make every fan in New York angry. But then again they did win the Super Bowl!
Do you feel better now? Things could be a lot worse for the good ol' Broncos right now. So next time you feel down because the Broncos are losing or Brandon Marshall is being stupid again, or that you are just losing hope for us, just come here and see that this is not the worst thing that has happened to a team. Things could be worse. I mean let's face it we could be the Raiders. ;)

Garret great post!
Some of those ‘feel goods’ are a stretch, but I do feel better. I really like the way you point out that every team has problems. Let’s hope Brandon plays this year, I have a really good feeling about this years team if he does. Our hope is not lost without him—but we are better with him. I’m one of those that like to live in the ‘la-la-land-of-pre-season-feel-goods.’ Thankyou for enhancing this fun.

Glad to cheer us up. Us Broncos fans could use some of that. Yes some of these things were stretches. Let’s hope that Brandon plays this year.

Would not surprise me
If the NFLs investigation tuns up positive then he will have officially violated the personal conduct policy which means that they are enabled to take action.

But he has to be convicted first
before there can be any suspension. Plus you have seen how some athletes have been aquitted in DUI;s when they chose a jury trial. That could happen if he chooses that option

He does not have to be convicted
to be suspended from the league, I just read the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy and thats what it said. I suggest everyone read it – it is scary but everyone has to follow the same guidelines, players, coaches, and all personnel . I hope Brandon can slide out of this 1 – we need him.

However
No player has been suspended to date without a conviction, albeit from a jury or be pleading. But your point is well taken. I do think Goodell will only punish those that actually are guilty or have actually pleaded to a guilt charge

I'm a little concerned about this case.
On the one hand, the NFL has expressed an interest in the case (which is not good). Repeated arrests are more than enough to crack down under the new policy.
On the other hand, I don’t think he facing suspension yet. Also, as much as I believe Marshall is our best receiver, I also think there is a strong chance that we wouldn’t notice his absence because of the depth and talent we now have behind him. That’s not to say I want him out, but I think we have the depth (even without him) to create mismatches in multiple WR sets and to cover for absence or injury.

I am not comparing
just simply asking. Was pacman ever convicted of anything or was it just a bunch of runins with the police? I could be wrong on this but I thought he never was convicted of anything. I hope it turns out well for the team and BMarsh but it has me worried.

He had pled guilty
to a charge then was kept getting arrested from a 2006 incident. Even Henry of the Bengals wasnt suspended until he was convicted.

nice reminder
you could probably make a list of 31 reasons this year won’t be like last year for the broncos, too. i mean, christ, what didn’t happen to us last season? if our run d and st’s are just average this year, we make the playoffs. this team is a little raw, but battle-tested. and yes, there are many teams in worse shape than we are. the top 10 teams on the list are the only ones i think can take us right now, give or take. we’ll be fine in the long run

Bronco Madness
I am glad that you recommended MHR on BroncoMadness.com Garrett. Has anyone done a fanshot of the Bronco Media Guide (which is already posted on Bronco Madness)? I have not seen it posted yet on MHR.

I just heard
That B-Marsh’s ex (watley) is being represented by David Mcgill. If you remember, McGill was the lawyer who represented the woman who tried to sue Randy Moss a year ago. I think those charges proved to be false.
I think this is a good indicator that his ex and her “attorney” are indeed trying to extort money from him. I might be the only one, but I believe Brandon. Women are always trying to manipulate men for money. This is nothing new.

I completely agree
Now not all women want money. But let’s face it, Brandon Marshall is a pro football player. He is worth a lot of money. not to mention it is her way into the spotlight.

Broncos are looking great
The broncos will go deep in the Playoffs this year. With all the talent we added during the offseason it would be almost impossible not too. Selvin Young could come very close to his 2000 yard prediction if he gets the bulk of the carries. Brandon Marshall will have a even more spectacular season than last year and finally make the pro bowl (should have last year). Jay Cutler’s Disease is now being treated and he has a few more targets. This team is looking great. Our biggest weakness is our offensive line. Which isnt too weak it just lacks alot of depth.

Almost as good as you
I gotta disagree about the offensive line though. With Nalen and Hamilton coming back from injury and the additions of Wiegmann and the rookies (Clady and Lichtensteiger), thats 5 major additions. The only major losses were Chris Meyers and Matt Lepsis (who we really lost last year due to poor play). Chris Meyers was a backup who filled in for Nalen at center. We also have some younger guys, like Kuper, who are developing. Overall, the O-Line is looking much improved and much deeper. The biggest weakness is either the Defensive Tackle position or the Middle and Sam linebacker positions. Niko has never been a starter before and Boss Bailey has a history of being injury prone and therefore never been highly productive, so there are questions there. It could all come together great, lets hope.

i agree that are o line has improved from last year, but i dont think we have a strong right tackle. also if clady gets injured who fills in for him? i like boss bailey and niko. Also if Niko goes down then DJ can fill in and have winborn (who i think played really well last year) fill in. Also wesley woodyard and Spencer larsen. and our DT is Marcus Thomas and Robertson, then mckinley, also Ekuban can play DT.

I dont think
That Dj will revert back to the middle even if K2 goes down. I think the Broncos are gonna keep him at the WLB spot all season. Too me thats where he is at his best. I do think the Broncos will have a better run d this year. Plus I think the OL will be back to its normal productive self

Webster was...
...out of position at SAM, and still surprised people (including me) when they looked at his stats overall for the season. He is much more of a MIKE, and I believe is in competition with K2 for the MIKE position.
