Da Broncos on NPR

Stefan Fatsis is a sportswriter for The Wall Street Journal and he apparently received permission from Bowlan and Shanahan to participate in the Broncos 2006 training camp in order to write a book about the experience. Fatsis was on the NPR radio show Talk of the Nation today to discuss his book and some of his experiences. It will be available to listen to on the internet later if you missed it. I found it very interesting and I'm looking forward to reading the book. Here's a link to the show and a brief excerpt from the book titled A Few Seconds of Panic.

OMG - I am an idiot

I had NPR on this morning at my home office. Talk of the Nation came on (faintlly int he background) while I was working, and I was like “This is annoying me, and I am not listening, better turn it off.” So I did! Doh!

Thanks for sending on the link – I will definitely listen.

And Guru – I don’t know what to say, except that I am in awe of your ability to score interviews. Looking forward to it.

I read the book ... my review

So I bought it yesterday and finished it today…. I am like that with books.

First, he writes well and it is an easy read.

Second, dude spent most of his time in the team and in the book on the buble/less talented players. That made the book somewhat depressing … but we haven’t been a winning team this past two seasons either.

Third, for a who actually cares enough to read message boards and participate in the discussions, this book is a Must Read. Not because I love what it says, but because this as close as any of us will ever get to the team. This is about as good a view into Shanny as most players have.

If I wasn’t a Broncos fan I wouldn’t find the book worth reading.

Go So Cal. I am the bigger one.
