Derek Anderson languished on that team for a couple of years and he exploded for ONE GOOD SEASON. That could be a testament to the team more than the quarterback…he smells too much like a one year wonder to me. I’d be too afraid to even draft him on my fantasy teams. As for the rest of the garbage on that list…that is just it, garbage. Young regressed last season, Russell hasn’t proven he can play at all and Ryan isn’t even in his first training camp yet! Garbage!

5. Eddie Royal, WR-KR, Virginia Tech: Denver takes a flyer on this guy who was projected to be a second day choice. But he runs a 4.39 and can also return kicks. You can believe he was a reach at No. 42 but he offers so many things to the Broncos that he may be worth the risk.

2. John Elway, 1983, Baltimore: He threatened to play baseball if the Colts didn’t trade him and the organization sent him to Denver. A Hall of Fame career was born. If he wasn’t the most clutch player in NFL history he among the handful you talk about. The only hole in his resume was a lack of Super Bowl rings and then he won back-to-back before retiring.
