Broncos Fantasy Depth Chart
Keep an eye on Jay Cutler, who leads an offense with some young offensive weapons in Denver. See how they rank in this fantasy depth chart summmary.
DENVER BRONCOS FANTASY DEPTH CHART
Key:
PTR= Position Tier Rank. This is the tier level where the player should be slotted in drafts.
1 = Elite Player.
2 = Solid Performer
3 = Backend starter/Bench fill-in
4 = Roster filler or long-term prospect
0 = No value
ITR = In The Rotation
PB = Position Battle
S = Starter
QB PTR
Jay Cutler – S 2
Patrick Ramsey 3
Darrell Hackney 4
Summary: Cutler was diagnosed with diabetes in the off-season. This explains why he lost so much weight and arm strength throught last season. Cutler has a rocket for an arm and is poised for his best season yet. Ramsey provides adequate protection in the case of injury.
RB PTR
Selvin Young – S 3
Michael Pittman - PB 3
Ryan Torain - (injured) 4
Andre Hall - ITR 4
Summary: After releasing Travis Henry, Young is now the #1 back in Denver, although would it surprise anyone if Pittman ends up getting the job eventually. Keep in mind fantasy owners, Mike Shanahan hates you, so no matter which Denver running back you draft, it’s a good bet the other will get all the carries.

For Fantasy purposes
At the QB position, I think Cutler is ranked perfectly. However, Ramsey and Hackney provide no fantasy value, even if Cutler goes down. Better options could be found on the waiver wire for your fantasy team.
At RB, you seemed to have it nailed again giving the edge to young, but it’s really a crap shoot to see who comes out on top in Denver, so I like how you have them all closely ranked.

Possible consideration...
should be given to Anthony Alridge as another RB who could show up and be a possible fantasy factor. Reports on him out of camp have been good. Like you said, when it comes to RBs and Shanahan, you never know.
