The following comes from The Sporting News (who in turn got the info from CompleteColorad.com):
CompleteColorado.com reports that three individuals were granted restraining orders against Brandon Marshall for stalking.
Fantasy Spin: Busy offseason. CompleteColorado.com also details six instances in which the police were dispatched to Marshall's home, dating back to February of last year. A police report was only filed once. Marshall met with Roger Goodell a couple of weeks ago, and is awaiting word on the length of a possible suspension.
I'm withholding judgement for now. I won't be surprised if Marshall receives a suspension when you put all of his behavior together. My opinion at this point is that if he plays for us, and plays well, great. But I grew tired of making excuses for him awhile ago, and if he ends up blowing up in our faces, we now have the depth to account for his absence.
If we are truly going to be a character team, then we can't keep making excuses for someone because he is a "key player". I'm not opposed to Marshall, but I'm not in his corner either. The League will determine what happens now, and I'll be fine with a decision either way. His situation "is what it is". I'm not going to blame some tart for his choices.
Let's keep our fingers crossed that Marshall has learned some lessons and moved on, and that the League considers this. But let's also be prepared for the worst, and be prepared to be in the corner of receivers who work hard, play well, and stay out of stupid situations.
[My vote below is "critical juncture"]
