Review of MHR
Hello:
I ran across this first post from the 2006 archive.
Here we sit, only 2 weeks away from the start of the 2006 NFL Season and this BLOG is ready to roll! Welcome to the Mile High Report, your go to place for everything Broncos. It figures to be an exciting season for the Broncos and it will be equally exciting around here at the MHR, as I will affectionitely refer to it. The success of the MHR will rely on you, passionate Bronco fans everywhere, to be interactive wih me and let me know what you want in this site. I am going to dig in and get started, but if you have any suggestions feel free to let me kow. Take a look around and get comfy, and make sure you check out the 'Diaries' section, where you too can become an author and contributer to the MHR.
So sit back, relax and get ready to enjoy what we all hope will be another championship season in Denver!
I feel that 2006 was a championship season if only because MHR was started. In the post TSG requested feedback to make the site better. Perhaps a quick link tab may be beneficial. Links to Broncomadness and other such Broncos web sites that might fall under the radar can be listed. I can't think of anything else right off. Any other ideas from the MHR crew?

funny site
All of us love Broncos. No-one is mean. Even an Idiot can make a post. (which I’ve tried)
Even SanDiegans like Dabolt can tell us of the Chargers and be welcome. This site has morphed into something special. Everyone shows respect and is kind—yet accurate.
I love this site. I can be here and in la-la-land at the same time…and no-one comes at me with butterfly nets—how unusual.
wyoeng, thanks for MHR’s first post. Great things sometimes come from a simple thought.
Well,
Michael Fabiano really knows nothing about football outside of regression analysis and stat extrapolation. If it doesn’t have to do with fantasy football, his opinion is worthless.
....
I’m working on it. My tolerance for Charger fans is still the same, but I’m dealing with my disdain and contempt for them

I have a hard time
having contempt for a fan base that disappears the first sign of trouble. Watch if the chargers start bad and Rivers cant play that stadium will be empty of charger fans. Seen it so many times before. Now if we were talking about fader fans. . . .

The problem is
We don’t have Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park, great beaches, and a constant steam of friends and relatives who want to stay with us-for vacation. People in San Diego have different problems than us. They do love their Chargers-they just find themselves with other and sudden obligations.
Lets see
Sea World is ok, Now the Zoo is just like any other zoo. Never been to the wild animal park. But since I have been to Kenya I guess i dont care about that. Now Sd is a nice place to live I dont think they are a loyal bunch. Sure they have a core group of 35K true charger fans but the rest are wagon riders.Been here to long not to notice. In 1993 they missed the playoffs and attendance was ok. # of their 8 home games were blacked out. Then in 94 their first 2 home games were blacked out. I think the notion there is other things to do here is kind of valid but it is used as a scapegoat. Plus who wants to go to the beach when there is a beer ban there?

my ex-wife lives here
Its not so much I hate SD, I dont really like the SD fans. They are wagon riders and when the chance their team is good they become ignorant and Rivers-like

too true
I was there on the 4th and I couldn’t believe they banned alchohol on the beach. I’ve been there for the 4th since 2000 , and this was shocking. I still had a great time though.

I know
Its only suppose to be for a year. Then the City council will study and see if it should be perm. The only place you can drink on the beach now is in Solana Beach. Like this friggin city doesnt have more pressing issues. No wonder SDin going to hell in anhandbasket. Sad

it's only been up 2 years? wow...
amazing what a few quality posters can do with a site… ht, styg, guru and the other regulars have made this into a fun spot for people to post their opinions or just sound off about things. . . a great contrast to the forums I used to browse back in the dark days pre-MHR.
Another link suggestion would be http://broncos-denver-broncos.blogspot.com/
Hey!!!
Usually I wait for the site’s birthday, which is rapidly approaching, to bring out the oldies, but goodies. I read that post often to make sure I am holding true to what I wanted to site to be and become. So far, so good. Thanks to everyone for making my job alot easier!

Methinks
you forgot about your one-year anniversary last year until someone reminded you about it.

Sorry TSG
The initial post I came across requested a review of the site. I just wanted MHR to brainstorm and see if the web site needed tweaking or if everyone is happy with the site as it is. I didn’t relaize that I was disrupting your plans. On the plus side, the archives section is being viewed.

I'm just kidding....
It’s all good. This site surely has come a long way and I enjoy the trip down memory lane!

i found it last season
It has gotten 100% better since I found it. The posts are real good, the commentors are great. Even when there is disagreements they are respectful (99.9% of the time), and its all about the greatest team in the NFL. Waht could be better?

I'm glad you're a team player.
I’m giving you my MVP vote.
