How to Watch Broncos Games Streaming (Sopcast, etc).
I'm a non-Denver based Bronco fan so I rarely get to see us on TV. A quick guide on how I watch the Broncos play, hopefully it helps some of you non-Coloradans as well. A word of advice: you'll definitely need a fast internet connection. Streaming video tends to lag on slower connections and could get annoying. So hit up a local library or leech some good wireless if your home connection isn't that great.
- Installation. Sopcast is the most known one, but you'll need one more program called TVAnts. Sopcast and TVAnts are what are known as "streaming clients." They don't inherently contain any channels or TV, but other people can broadcast onto them. For step 1, download and install Sopcas, and download and install TVAnts. The reason you need both is that broadcasters may use either one on any given weekend.
- Finding the channel. Sopcast has a bunch of channels listed when you open it, but most of them don't work/you won't find what you're looking for. Bookmark this page. Every week, it will update. For example, look at the Preseason Week 1 Page. Scroll down a bit and you'll see the Broncos listed, and a link called "S2." If you've installed TVAnts, it will automatically open TVAnts and start broadcasting the game. That's the page I normally use.
And that's it. Let me know if you need any help. I'll definitely be lurking on game days.

a wrod of caution
that sopcast is often delayed a bit. not a ton, but enough that you cant really be in the open thread at the same time. Or at least that is what I noticed last year.

I really thought...
live streaming got shut down by the league last year. But maybe it was just the forum/blog I was finding the channels via and its nice to hear it still works. I will get back on this this year!
Oh btw… the quality of the feed isn’t that great (at least it wasn’t last year); it still doesn’t quite beat going to your neighborhood bar and watching it on HD and have a brew or 23. ;)
Thanks for the instructional post!

They will never shut down live streaming.
As soon as they shut down one stream, 10 more pop up. The internet is just way too wide open for that kind of enforcement, especially with the development of bit torrent type technologies that eliminate the need for expensive high bandwidth servers. The NFL, and the rest of the media providing world need to get their act together and provide a Better Service by streaming the content themselves. Exactly who’s fault is it that a dude in their basement getting payed nothing can provide a better service than the NFL and the TV Networks combined? It sure is taking a painfully long time for these companies to transition from 20th century copyright media distribution to 21st century online content production.
