Let's see some success from the second team guys now

Two takes on tonight's game:

Me: "Well, the run defense is looking good. They let the Cowboys get to the edge a little too much, but they’ve made some good stops. Cutler is pretty awesome, let’s just leave that there. The defense seems to be working better in general, actually, and the run game is also improved — "

let's push this to 500

So basically rag on Brad Johnson. He’s so old.

But seriously first teamers looked really solid. They shut out the “best team in the NFC”, Cutler hardly got touched.

by binford04 on Aug 16, 2008 8:43 PM MDT reply actions

seriously

Hard to remember what a touchback looked like

by binford04 on Aug 16, 2008 8:44 PM MDT up reply actions

Still not sure what it all means

Was each team playing pretty basic vanilla stuff, or was Denver playing a more sophisticated offense / defense against a basic Dallas team? It just look way too easy.

Honestly, I’m pretty comfortable with the depth, seems like we have some DTs stepping up, as well as Safeties and linebackers

But number of cut deadlines and number of players are both important. If there are 2 rounds of cuts left, then Woodyard is obviously past the next cut.

you were asking about cuts above: there are two cut dates at the end of august:

Aug 26. cut down to 75
Aug 30. cut down to 53
Sept 2. set up your 8 person practice squad

Mountains, forest, sea: these render man fierce, but yet do not destroy the man.
