Watch our babies grow
Ryan torain can become baby TD, and with his freakish physical traits, josh barret has a chance to be Baby Ed Reed. M Thomas can be baby Sapp, and DOOM is already the baby Grim Reaper of QB's.
We are a very young team. Our proven veterans Champ, Stokes, Tom Tough as Nails, and Ekuban are the leaders now, but not our future. Our future veteran leaders will be the 06 draft (cutler, scheff, doom, and bmarsh.) and the core of that team will be this year's draft class. I have a feeling we'll be pretty dominant with a team like that.
Just let our babies grow...

Oh man
Being a ‘canes fan, I love me some Ed Reed. Usually I don’t travel to the ever-popular “La-La Land,” but posts and thoughts like these have me contacting travel agents looking for the next flight there.
Do we get frequent flier miles for travel there?

Certainly.
My love of football trumps any team love in the collegiate ranks. For me, my sport team love goes as follows:
1. Denver Broncos
2. Denver Broncos
3. Orlando Predators
4. Miami Hurricanes
T-4. WVU Mountaineers
T-4. USF Bulls. (Hopefully I can go to college there…)
7. Phoenix Suns
8. Houston Texans
9. Orlando Magic
10. TB Bucs
100. Milwaukee Brewers. I don’t like baseball at all, but they’d be my team if I did.

In fact
if the Hokies are playing anyone not listed above, I’d probably root for them. The only thing I dislike about them is their coach’s neck. Did he have a skin graft or something? It bugs the heck out of me not knowing what happened.

lol, to be honest...
so long as Denver plays well, and at least shows promise, I don’t care what those other teams do. They’re my fall backs on years the Broncos don’t perform to the best of their ability. Even in the AFL (of which I’m a big fan), I don’t mind Orlando losing, I just want to have fun watching sports.
Maybe I’ll enjoy Miami more now that Kyle Wright is gone.
PS Clinton Portis is my favorite RB in the NFL due to his history with two of my favorite teams.

Just giving ya a hard time
I love the Buffs my the Broncos are far away #1. I wont lose any sleep if CU loses. Now if the Broncos lose I am pissed and want to know what happened and why they lost.

Beamer
Yes Beamer is a burn victim. I don’t know the whole story but it happened to him during his childhood. Pretty cool quick story:
Beamer was on a recruiting trip in Highland Springs, Va. to recruit Victor “Macho” Harris. Beamer shows up to the house and there is a fire inside I think on the stove. Macho goes to put out the fire and gets his arm burned up pretty bad. The result was an instant bond between the two for the wrong reason of course. Macho ends up choosing Tech over several other schools. I think Miami was one of them.
If you haven’t heard of him you will this year. He will be the one intercepting passes from Robert Marve or Jacory Harris or whoever is playing QB. He is projected to be a 1st round pick in the draft next year. Who knows, maybe Dre Bly’s replacement.

I see...
nice story, I like it a lot. I’ve never heard of this Harris guy, but I don’t know as much about any other league as I do the NFL.

I rather have a baby Steve Atwater
Nothing against Reed, but Barret physically reminds me more of Steve Atwater who was a physical freak of legend. And of Jay, although he does have some Elway traits, he reminds me more of Brett Favre somewhat, but again Favre and Elway were similar types of QBs.

I think Cutler is a bit of a new Breed
Jay is comfortable in the pocket but can make it happen with his feet
Jay also has the zip and the touch to make the ball catchable to ONLY his guy (Favre has the most INT’s)

It took Elway a couple of years to develop the touch pass
I remember him throwing the lasers on dump-offs and jump balls in the end-zone for a year or so.

After watching him in practice
I think we have only begun to scratch the surface of the capabilities of Jay Cutler.

Which is why, dare I say, he might become bigger than Elway......
Of course, he has to win at least 3 Super Bowls before that remark can be argued as fact. The shoe size is large…but if any QB in a Bronco uniform is up to the task it will be Cutler.

cutler is a tank
he is the best pocket passer we’ve had (better than elway), and he can scramble just as well. He hates being called a gunslinger, because he likes to throw off reads. The only thing that will complete the package is if he becomes as “clutch” as elway, brady, montana, etc. that’s why i was so excited over the buffalo game. the arm strength and speed are luxuries, but i think we finally found our next “comeback kid.”

i'm too young to remember atwater
i live near pittsburgh, and became a bronco fan when denver crushed pittsburgh in the afc championship, then i did a book report on an elway biography. this was second grade. I only got to see maybe 1-2 atwater games, mostly on super bowl replays.

You should Youtube Atwater and look for the Chiefs game where he blew up The Nigerian Nightmare. ;)

Still, i think our guys are good enough that others should get compared to them, instead of vice versa.
