Horse Tracks - Thursday, August 21st
Hey everyone, I'm back for another Horse Tracks. I'm not as skilled as the venerable mdierk or the all-knowing Guru, but I did my best! Hopefully, you all will find these stories as interesting as I did.
Clear and the Denver Broncos to bring fast pass to the fans this year.
A betting website gives their take on the 2008 Denver Broncos. By popular demand, this link is just too horrible to be allowed to stay on Horse Tracks.
Craig, Colorado named by the Denver Broncos as being one of the football team's biggest fans.
Selvin Young knows history and does not want to become the next discarded running back to have formerly played for the Denver Broncos.
All of Denver's running backs are ready to carry the load in 2008.
More on Tom Nalen's injury troubles here and here.
The Cornerbacks for the Broncos and Packers have one thing in common -- age
I've always preferred using a QB as the holder for the kicker, but I don't recall John Elway ever holding for a kicker...
Ryan Clady and Ryan Harris getting some love from Jim Armstrong.
That's all I got for today. Have a Great Day!

I hate
hate hate the idea of having the starting QB as the holder. All it takes is one botched snap or kick to break a couple fingers and BOOM it’s the Patrick Ramsey show for a few weeks. Make Ramsey or the punter do it but not Cutler.

Plummer isn't an Elway, nor is he a Cutler....
I am biased.

SHould have clairified my point
I am not a fan of it either but Kubiak was a holder during the Elway era. I understand the reasoning behind having a QB as the holder. If on a kick the play breaks down the QB can throw the ball to complete a pass for a first down, TD or the 2 point conversion. Now I would be a little hesitant if it was JC. But thats why the coaches get paid the big bucks and I can complain about it

I like the idea of having a QB being the holder, but not our franchise QB. lol
Perhaps Shanny is having Cutler do it because he plans on dumping Ramsey sometime in the near future.

We could always use the old madden trick and use our fastest DB as the holder that way we could Fake FG Run all the time.
Then again lining up a WR at QB and running the option all the time also works in video game football.

How 'bout the Ryan Express
for the offense when Train gets back?
Harris, Clady and Train – all Ryans, or does it sound too much like Buddy Ryan?

Sports Memo betting site
Gee, talk about not doing your homework! They talk about Eukuban’s ACL problem (not his achilles) and Bell’s prospects (tough when you’ve been cut). It’s not as if the article is dated, too, since more recent information is included.

The Betting Site WTF?!
I live in Las Vegas and Gamblers usually know more about football then anyone cause they love money and have no bias. But I am amazed at how silly this review is, If they really expect to use this information to advise their clients they should demand money back.
-It explains our running back situation left up to SELMON Young and MIKE BELL! With no mention of Andre Hall.
-The only good part of our O-Line is Montrae Holland?!?! Hes not even a starter at the moment!
etc
They just looked at last year and added 1-2 major news signings they saw and called it advice.

lol
Ok, I am seriously considering killing that link. I was skimming and missed the whole crappiness of the article. My bad…if anything I will leave it up there to show everyone just how bad reporting can be. ;)

It was so bad, I never even finished reading the offensive analysis
