Around SBN: Falcons and Chargers Recap: The Win Is The Thing Bar-right-arrows

Who will have the worst season 2008

Lots of predictions are out there for who will win the divisions and playoffs, but here's some food for thought, who will have the worst record at the end of the year, there may be two in our division fighting for the 1st overall pick come next April.  And there are some other contenders for the title, namely: Dolphins, Falcons, Rams, 49ers, Ravens, and Jets.  Or my surprise team which would be the Dallas Cowboys (something tells me Wade Phillips team will implode this season) Any other thoughts?

4 teams could have a good shot at the #1 overall next year

Chiefs, Falcons, Dolphins, and Niners, in that order. I think the Missouri Indians win 2 games this year.

Falcons for sure

Matt Ryan will be getting alot of “Welcome to the NFL” hits this year and not be able to do much in his first year , defenses will own him

49rs

hands down the worst. If Gore goes down, say hello to the #1 pick in next year’s draft.

I wish Woody Paige was our coach!

I dunno...the Ravens are in complete disarray this year.

I agree, Zappa,

I expect the Ravens, Chiefs, Falcons to be battling it out for the first pick. I think the 49ers and Dolphins may show signs of improvement this year… 49ers defense is pretty stout and Martz will make the best out of their offensively bad offensive personnel…

A top 10

or even top 15 defense will eventually result in some wins – especially when it gets cold. McGahee is solid (and the rookie whos name escaped me), the 3 of them will carry them out of the top-3 picks…

Remember: New England won 18 last year; Oakland's won 19 in a half-decade

If they win 5 games it is because of the veteran leadership on D...

everything else is in disarray.

SF

does have a good young defense. But they may wear down by the end of the season cuz the offense is so putrid

Do the Ravens even know who there QB is?

I don’t think they even knew when Boller was in there ;-)

Other teams that could slide...

I think a couple other teams could slide this year.

Redskins – tough division, home field advantage might save them
Bears – at some point you can’t count on special teams to win games and their division is starting suck less

My bottom 5: Falcons, Ravens, Chiefs, Redskins, Bears

My vote

is the faders. Until Russell can prove he can throw a touch pass, and the faders can show they know how to pass block.

I like that vote.

Especially after how they played last wekend.

I cant understand

All the love they are getting in the MSM. Are they seeing a different team I am? I doubt it. I have 2 predictions that will show we here are smarter than the MSM. Denver will win 10+ games this year and the faders will not win more than4

by broncfanstuckinsd on Aug 27, 2008 2:25 PM MDT to parent up   0 recs

they spent money in the offseason

that makes them a media darling, since outside of lawbreakers, moneyspenders are the only ones who give them any news to write about.

Snd on top of that they drafted McFadden. Frankly, I’m surprised the MSM has managed to hold their tongues this well…. the second McFadden begins to look like a real RB, they will probably explode with relief.

Just in time to watch McFadden tank just like every other talent that goes into the black hole…

The Cones bro.

The worst team I think will be the Atlanta Falcons. They have a looooong way to go. Vick and Petrino really screwed these guys. I feel kind of bad for Arthur Blank. He seems like a genuinely nice guy that really wants the best for his fans.
Rookie coach, QB, bad OL, so-so WR. The negative list goes on and on. I expected more from Rich McKay.

Next years top five draft order:
Atlanta
Cincinnati
St. Louis
Oakland
Baltimore
