Offseason Chitter Chatter Poll

Before MHR, the Broncos offseason was just that--OFF season.  Yea, I could get coverage online from other sources, but they could never bring that sense of community.  Where I live, there's no one to talk shop with about the Broncos, and so I'd patiently wait till the next season began.  Well, that's all changed now with MHR!  Everyday there was something to discuss and learn. And so, as we make the final turn toward the kick off of 2008 Broncos football, I ask of you, what do you consider the most "talked about" story of the Broncos' offseason.

I am with you bcfunk...out here in raider/49er land (sacramento).

I voted for the draft…so much discussion was generated before, during, and after the draft. It was unreal. Recently though, the BMarsh discussions have taken the first prize. lol

I second Zappa but I voted for Eddie Royal

for a guy who was NO WHERE NEAR our radar he has come quite a long way!

I voted for the draft

The draft included Eddie Royalty.

Victor Frankl:

What man actually needs is not a tensionless state but rather the striving and struggling for some goal worthy of him. What he needs is not the discharge of tension at any cost, but the call of a potential meaning waiting to be fulfilled by him.

Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms – to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.

I voted for BMarsh, but...

I almost added as an option the whole will we/won’t we trade for D-Robertson. Good grief that ordeal took forever to come to fruition.

I wish Woody Paige was our coach!

I voted for defensive woes

but, of course, I didn’t find MHR until after the draft and have only been around since the beginning of summer.

Thankfully (for my Bronco fetish), I haven’t had much to do at work and MHR has been filling my time (otherwise I’d be going stir crazy)!

I voted for Elway who? Nothing--and I mean nothing--

is more needed by this team than to move forward with confidence about our QB situation. To always love Elway—love what he did—yet know we have someone that could break all his records. Not only does Jay have the great arm—he really looks like a great manager of weird and trying situations. In fact he seems to put his best, sudden (can-you-believe-that’s) in the worst situations. Just like ‘WHO’…Hmmm—I can’t seem to remember.

Boy we all

got over Travis Henry’s departure. Perhaps not the best story of the offseason, but I’d say the one story that set the tone for this season…

I voted Sundquist.

If Sundquist was still there for the draft (and being listened to) I think things would have turned out much differently and much worse.

If this be Hell, let us make the most of it!

Kudos to the person who can find out

how or whom he would’ve taken in the draft had he not been fired.

i voted for BMarsh

because it had the most emotional repsonses and some of the most commented posts. I grew tired of it, but it was on of the biggest offseason stories

by broncfanstuckinsd on Aug 28, 2008 5:46 PM MDT   0 recs

In regards to Sundquist

Where is he. Was he really so bad that nobody wants him for at least consulting or something?

He is an analyst

for the ProFootballTalk website.

Now, correct me if I’m wrong, isn’t PFT a load of crap? Or am I thinking of somewhere else??

You're correct styg50

PFT is the Mike Florio run joint that culls the latest NFL headline news from around the league and posts it to their site. They’re not that bad. I confess, I check them out almost as often as MHR for NFL related news.

I wish Woody Paige was our coach!
