Travis Henry in Trouble (again)
Proving the wisdom of Mike Shanahan, Travis Henry received a suspension (along with several other free agents). The story, courtesy of NFL.Com, can be found here.
I was one of those people that stuck up for Henry until the bitter end. With my background (and being very skeptical of "false positives"), I felt Henry should have had his positive test overturned, and it was. Henry seemed to straighten up for the coach that stood by him, even going as far as taking a pay cut. But when the chips were down, Henry failed to show up for practice. Speculation was that he had failed another drug screen during the interim.
Now Henry is suspended, and the odds of him being picked up have crashed. This looks like the end of Henry as an NFL player. I hope he gets a handle on life outside of the NFL, where there is always room for someone who gets past his mistakes.

I also stood up for him when he was a Bronco. Ultimately, he needs to take a stand
and quit relying on abusive substances. I hope he does a better job of living up to his potential in his non-football career.

Another dead-on decision for Shanahan
It’s tough to see a man waste this kind of talent in his life.
