Denver owner Pat Bowlen should never speak in public again. A very nervous Bowlen gave one of the most difficult to listen to speeches in Hall of Fame history when he presented T Gary Zimmerman. He may have had stage fright, which is all the more reason he should have simply stood up and said "Here’s Gary."

'THE SPEECH'
that was the worst speech i have ever seen. or given. i choked in a 7th grade english speech very badly, but nothing like this. holy shit! i seriously though he would just run off the stage. he kinda did. then, i just knew shanny was going to run up the side stairs and rescue him. he didn’t. it just never got better. i laughed, and then i died inside. ridicule filled my thoughts. new jersey governor jim mcreevey announcing he is gay, “live” in front of his wife wasn’t this bad! this will be forever known as ‘THE SPEECH’.
however, even more miraculously, zim’s speech for a man who never talked to the media was eloquent, genuine, and a little pressure-packed after ‘THE SPEECH’. no problem. great speech, sincere and straight to the point. amazing, no?
