Zozobra! Just what the Broncos need to kill the blues.
With some people still feeling blue with the suspension and injuries for the Broncos, there is a possible cure! Zozobra, a huge marionette built in Santa Fe, is a good way to make you feel better. People will fill Zozobra with anything negative (divorce papers, bankruptcy, anything else that has made people blue in the past year). This thng moans and groans, then they set the thing on fire (not the smartest thing to do in dry New Mexico). Maybe anything negative on the Broncos would work. Perhaps some Henry, Walker and Rice jerseys would be perfect to destroy and take our blues away. The Zozobra will be "set aflame" on September 4, so it will be a fresh start for the new season. careful across Wolf Creek Pass near Pagosa Springs too...
my grandma almost drove us off a cliff there once when I was a kid. Never trusted her driving since…with good reason too. She’s been T-bones 3 times in the past 6 years…. lol

My dad did that
every time we drove the Rio Grande Canyon between Velarde and Taos at night. He told us half-way through that the oncoming cars’ lights looked like Mickey Mouse ears and he wasn’t really sure whether they were in our lane or not!
Definitely need a drink before doing that again!

try driving between Taos and Chama at night....
you drive over the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge and the San Juan Mountains…..almost hit the biggest elk I’ve seen in my life on that road.

Aww, if you were alone it would have been worth it.
Not worth it if you had other lives to worry about in the car. ;) You don’t need a hunting license if you kill the darn thing with your car!!
Remember…the faster you hit the beast the more likely you will kill it on impact. And a 700 LB elk is no match for a 2 ton 4X4. :P
