Bailey and Robertson will not play in Houston
The Denver Post reports that Champ Bailey and Dewayne Robertson will sit out of the Houston game Saturday night. I do think that this is a wise move for them. I would be more concerned if this was week 3 in the preseason.

Not to worry. Yet.
Bailey has a hamstring issue. I’d rather he rest a few weeks than risk a few weeks. DRob is going to be held back to protect his knees. I expect to see him later in the pre-season.

I don't think our injury situation is all that bad.
We only lost a 5th and 6th rounders. I agree HT, I would rather champ and Robertson sit right now anyways.
Michael Fabiano really knows nothing about football outside of regression analysis and stat extrapolation. If it doesn’t have to do with fantasy football, his opinion is worthless.

Anybody else sitting?
I heard Bly and Hamza were out also, again something minor but was wondering on Hillis, I think he needs to get in and get the reps, he has been sitting on the sideline too long in camp, isn’t going to make the roster sitting in the training room.

Right.
Here again, at least in Bly’s case, I think we don’t want to risk players we count on. Some positions need to warm up a little (Cutler should play a quarter or so). Others not so much at first.

RE: Hillis
I think he’s shown them enough to secure a position. The question at this point would be more about his gaining some experience working with the first string offense. Proving himself under fire could make the difference between starting and being the backup, and that’s hard to do when he’s out with an injury.

No need to worry
because the star players don’t really play much in the first couple of preseason games anyways. I know Champ has a hamstring issue however we know what he can so there is no need for him to impress us.

I agree
with the DB starters sitting out, but DRob and the rest of that d-line need to work on their chemistry. Would it really hurt for DRob to play a couple of series?
