Respect
That's right, Silver just put the Denver Broncos as the number 6 team in his power rankings, AHEAD of San Diego!
It's finally good to see Denver is getting the RESPECT it deserves.
in other news, Tommy Kelly, the raider on the sinking ship, got arrested for DWI. Also, our pass protection was unbeatable and our offense unstoppable last game. D was great except for the frequent big play, and Shanahan has a pair of brass ones (i couldn't comment during the game, might as well say what i wanted to)

ESPN...
Can’t bear to have us in the top 10 (they have us at 11). Fox sports has us at 8, I think.

But,
They do have us in 5th since the merger (just ahead of the faders) and several positions above both the chargers and indians…

I am fine with it
What are they gonna do when the Broncos start 6-0 heading into a very winnable game at NE. Denver could be 7-0 going into the bye week. But I dont care what these clowns say. I just want for Denver to win, and the charger whiners to keep complaining on how the world and Denver screwed them

I really don't see any game on our schedule we can't win
oak and kc are locks. saints can’t rush, pats lost brady, jax’s o line is messed up, and carolina will experience their annual mid season meltdown. no defense on our schedule looks like it can stop us, buut the finale at SD will be the game to see if both teams are close. Zappa, i think i’ll join la-la land too until proven otherwise.
I'll take a season sweep of San Diego over the Super Bowl any day!

One must keep the optimism high.
and at least we’re not Chefs fans trying to keep the optimism high. :)

I am not ready to put anybody as a lock
but I do like our chances in some games. I’ve one toe creeping into la-la land.

The only ranking that matters to me is W-L

Agreed
I really hope Denver flies under the radar for most of the season, pile up the wins and let the pundits have at it at the end of the season.

Don't really care about power rankings.
The only rankings I like are the standings.

The blowhard Dr. Z has us ranked 10th.
He also has the 1-1 Eagles 3rd, the defending Super Bowl Champion 2-0 Giants 5th, and the 0-2 Chargers 16th. I usually, like him, but come on, that’s a little ridiculous.
2-0.

ESPN has Denver ranked 5th best since 1970, the faders 6th , KC 21st and the SD Whiners 23rd

The raiders have 3 SBs, and KC has one.
I don’t think their rankings since the merger are off too much at all.

on the rankings since 1970
I have a problem with them saying Mo Clarett is a bust. I dont know how anyone can classify a late 3rd round draft pick is a bust. I think Ted Greogory the #1 in 1988 was a bust. He was traded before training camp ended (to NO) . Now thats a bust

I don't see how...
anyone can say our D was great.. Any team that gives up 38 points has defensive problems. I know 7 of them were on ST, but 31 is too many. We did have our moments though. Champ’s pick and holding SD to a 3 and out inside their own 5.
This better not turn out to be our defense of two years ago that played great in the first half and then progressively got worse as the game / season progressed.
