Our take on the Broncos hosting the Saints

Last week some of you may recall us picking Denver to win by 22. Well they did lead by 18 at one point, but the W came by just a little bit of a tighter margin. Despite the finish last week, it hasn't changed how we view the capabilities of this team.

We would have posted this in the comments of the previous post, but he said no details, which is no fun for us. Here it is:

Our line: Denver by 23

Although leading by 18 points and winning by 18 points are two very different things, the Denver offense showed how powerful it can be last Sunday. The defense does seem to be vulnerable at times, but this week's game against New Orleans should be a good opportunity for them to figure out how to improve their defense. New Orleans can't run the ball well, and doesn't do a great job stopping the run either. We think Denver will take advantage of this by running the ball more, controlling the clock, and giving the defense plenty of rest on the sidelines in the process. It may mean fewer yards and points scored for them, but it will result in an easier path to victory.

On a side note, one of our writers just published an article on "Who will be this years most interesting team to watch?" Basically the article focused on which team would replace the '07 Patriots in the media spotlight. Denver ended up placing 5th.

On another side note, eventually there will be a game where aren't picking Denver to win (gasp!), do the Mile high fans still want us to post our review of the game?
