Happy Birthday TheSportsGuru

(Promoted to the front page by hoosierteacher.  Guru won't like the spotlight, but he's just too darned humble.  He deserves all the best!)

We all love what MHR brings to us and we know the community is great.  We even celebrated MHR's second birthday about a month ago, but how about we honor the man who made it all possible?  TheSportsGuru has toiled endlessly to make MHR the greatest fan site on the web and in my opinion he has succeeded.

I've been using the internet to keep track of the Broncos for about a decade and I still only discovered this website by accident.  If memory serves me correctly, I saw TSG post a comment on Mason's blog and in his comments he always promoted Milehighreport.com.  That was mid summer of last year and I lurked around MHR until a few losses into the regular season before I felt the need to give my opinion.  Now I can't be silenced!

Anyways, I wanted to send out a quick Happy Birthday to the man who created Mile High Report and to thank him for all of his hard work that made this place what it is.  I would say, go get drunk on your birthday, but I am also a parent, so I will say "enjoy your nice dinner and the homemade birthday cards"!  ;-)

From the MHR Community, Thank You TheSportsGuru!

Thanks for all the work you do

to give us Broncomaniacs a place to hang out and stay out of trouble. It’s really a social service… Seriously, you set the tone for a great site. Many happy (Eddie Royal) returns!

I agree!

Thanks for all of your hard work making this site work. This is the only place I come for Broncos news, and I don’t know what I would do without it.

Happy Birthday!

Happy B-Day Guru

I appreciate all you do, this is a great place to hang out and keep up with My beloved Broncos. Thanks for makin it possible. Advice, as a fellow parent I always let the kids stay over with a friend of theirs so I can cut loose and raise a little hell on special occcasions, although I don’t count my B-Days anymore. I celebrate the anniversary of my 29th B-Day every year now. LOL

The player who thinks he can and the player who knows he can are two different players, which one are you???

Without you Guru....

…many of us would be Broncos fans without a home. Thanks for all of the news, analysis, and good times that Broncos fans just can’t get anywhere else. All of your hard work is greatly appreciated.

Like my 92 year old mother says...

…another birthday is better than the alternative. Anyway, I’d like to say that after stumbling on this site last May, I’m amazed at how much work Guru and the rest put into it. Thanks a lot, and I wouldn’t mind an historical piece on how it all got started.

Great site, Guru. I’m still rooting for the Chiefs Sunday. But coming across the aisle to give you kudos. I know it takes a lot of people to make this site what it is, but you can still take a bow.

Without this site, I’d be confused Broncos fan left out in the cold. I’m hoping my birthday present gets to you by Sunday afternoon. I tried to buy you four quarters of consistent play.

Maybe we can go over our favorite TSG moments...

Like the Windows errors in the background of the podcast :)

…or the wild rants against a crazy comment in the chat room, especially when those of us on the podcast can’t see who’s typing.

Those are some of my favorite quirks, and I find myself cracking up at the.

by studbucket on Sep 25, 2008 5:42 PM MDT   0 recs

My favorite moment was his response to Silver and Black Pride's insane belief that

JaMarcus Russell was head and shoulders above Jay Cutler in skill and ability. That was several months and 41-14 scores later, Guru was proven right. PUHLEASE! :)
